fishSFbay welcomes you aboard! Join us for a memorable day on the water and have fun fishing the productive grounds around Berkeley, California. Captain Sean Stafford will take you inshore, nearshore, as well as offshore and make sure you have a terrific time chasing many prized species. Join him in Richmond and create beautiful memories on the water!
Your adventure will start on a 29’ Defiance pilothouse that runs on two 250 HP Honda engines and can accommodate up to 6 guests. The boat uses modern GPS, fishfinder, radio, as well as radar technology that will keep you on the right track. There’s also a portable toilet you can use.
You and the captain will be bottom fishing and trolling the San Francisco Bay. The species you’ll have the opportunity to catch include Chinook Salmon, Rockfish, Striped Bass, Halibut, and Lingcod. You get to keep all the fish you catch and take it home to enjoy delicious meals. Kids are more than welcome to join aboard, so bring them as well and spend a wonderful time in nature together.
Captain Sean will provide you with all the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, and will also clean and fillet your catch. What you should bring are snacks, drinks, and fishing licenses.

AM 1/2 day Halibut+Bass $225pp
Five stars all the way!
Captain Sean was fantastic to work with and was perfect for our family's needs. We were able to get a morning trip short enough for our grandchildren, and Captain. Sean was really good with the children as well. We also liked the fact that we could rent space on the entire vessel so that our group was out just by itself. Captain Sean knows everything that amateur anglers like ourselves need from a guide! Great fishing and great fun

Found a New Family
Took my two boys, 15 and 17 year old to fish for halibut and stripers in the bay. Captain Sean and Angelina sure make your day easy. They also make their work look so effortless. You know someone is at work really hard, when you look at them and they make it look easy. We got all the information needed prior to our trip. They were ready for us when we showed up a little early. Angelina, the First Mate was changing bait ALL DAY every like ten minutes. Keeping our bait fresh helped making sure the fish were biting. We got two huge halibuts and three big stripers. She even managed to get everyone on the boat to sing happy birthday to my son. Sean was the work force behind the scenes. Driving the boat, telling us when and where to drop the lines. He even set up two extra lines in the front and when he hooked a fish, he handed the rod to one of us to reel in. It was extra fun because the fun energy between Sean and Angelina really affected the energy on the boat. My other son got a little sea sick and Angelina gave him peppermint oil to smell and sourdough bread, which really helped him and it was touching to see someone caring for your family. At almost 50 and being self employed, I can tell you that this two may not have the biggest boat in the bay, but they have the biggest heart and they will do anything to make sure you have memories and plenty of fish. I’ll take a small mom and pops business any day of the week over others. Thank you guys!

We had an incredible day fishing the bay with Sean and Angelina! From start to finish, their professionalism, energy, and passion for what they do made the experience unforgettable. Sean was constantly scanning the water, reading the conditions, and putting us on the fish—his attention to detail was top-notch. And Angelina? Absolutely phenomenal. She never stopped moving, always one step ahead, and is hands down the best deckhand we’ve ever had—and we’ve been on a lot of trips. From now on, anytime we’re fishing the bay, we’re booking with Sean and Angelina. Highly recommend!

Great Team - Lots of Fun
I had a great full day trip with Captain Sean and Angelina. They were incredibly patient with my questions and taught me how to correct bait anchovies on the hook. We caught a ton of stripers and a few halibut. I also managed to hook two bat rays that they let me fight for a bit until I had enough and we cut the line. I also landed a leopard shark which was a fun surprise. Good music and lots of laughter made for a great day. I would definitely book with them again.

One of a kind experience
Captain Sean, Angie and Lt. Dan Gave us everything we could have asked for, for a great chartered fishing trip experience in the bay. Professional, knew what they were doing are an understatement. From the minute we got there, the agenda was set by them and boy did they exceed our expectations. It was my two boys first chartered fishing trip, and my favorite part was how much fun those boys had. This is a 11/10 trip. You are missing out if you don’t go with FishSFBay.
