Blu Flu Sportfishing simply began as a few cops who had a passion for fishing. Over the years, we have honed our skills and decided, what better way to further our passion than to share it with others who have the same passion and even include those who are completely new to the sport!
When we head out, our priority is to put you on the meat. We know that you did not book your charter to go for a boat ride, so we will do everything possible to bend a rod! If harvesting your catch is desired, we will absolutely keep, fillet and bag your catch for you (regulations permitting). If keeping the fish to harvest is not your thing, we fully understand and support that. We just want you to enjoy your time on the water!
Aside from catching fish, we have to keep safety paramount. If the weather or seas just are not cooperating the day of your charter, we can either re-schedule your trip or stay inside the inlet and fish. Either way, we are always prepared.

Capt. Stew got us on the fish within 30 minutes of being on the water. We caught dozens of fish on our 6 hour trip. First Mate Nick was awesome. He was extremely attentive to anything we needed. Can’t wait to get back out there with the Blu Flu crew.
Your crew was awesome! Those young boys are fish snipers and are welcome anytime! Makes our lives easy!

This was an excellent trip. 6 of us on an 8 hour trip and everyone caught more fish than they could count. Captain Stu and Nick were excellent and did a fantastic job. They kept us on fish all day long. Every stop we made we were catching multiple fish each. Would highly recommend this crew.

My dad, brother and I booked the Blu Flu for a canyon trip. We have never been to the canyons and never have fished for tuna. I can tell you we were not disappointed! The boat was clean and comfortable on the ride out. Captain Stew and mates Nick and Phil were awesome. All were very knowledgeable and accommodating. As soon as we hit the canyons nick and Phil were on it and got the lines in the water and Captain Stew put us right on the meat, that being a 183lb 62inch bigeye tuna. Nick and Phil were first class in coaching us when fighting this tuna and Captain Stew was awesome on the helm keeping us in the best position to get this fish to the boat. Not only did we land this tuna, we also got 12 Mahi and a handful of rosefish. We headed back in and the crew filleted all the fish for us. Not only were they great on the water, it was clear they knew hoe to get the meat off the fish. We went home with more tuna steaks, mahi and rosefish filets then we knew what to do with. The crew of the Blu Flu made our first canyon/tuna trip unforgettable. I cannot recommend enough. We will definitely be back out on the Blu Flu.
