Chef Charles The Fishing Chef invites you for an exciting fishing trip in Key Largo, Florida! Together with Captain Charles Maloney, you’ll explore inshore and offshore waters, reefs, as well as flats and have lots of fun fishing for many different prized species. Captain Charles isn’t only a lifelong angler but also a skilled cook with professional experience who can cook the fish you catch after the trip and send it to wherever you’re staying. Pay him a visit and have a terrific time on the water in Key Largo!
Your adventure starts on a restored 26’ World Cat catamaran that can sit up to 4 guests. The boat runs on twin 200 HP Suzuki engines, uses full-featured navigation technology, and has got a portable toilet. There’s also an ice-box to store your fish and drinks and a livewell to supply you with live bait. The captain’s son Jay is a first mate and he’ll be joining your trip as well.
The species you’ll target include Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Mangrove and Yellowtail Snapper, Bluefin Tuna, Great Barracuda, as well as Jack Crevalle. You can attract them by light and heavy tackle bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, and drift fishing, and you’ll keep the fish you catch. Kids are more than welcome to join in.
Captain Charles will provide all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, as well as fishing licenses, and he’ll even clean and fillet your catch for free. Before you leave, just make sure you have your snacks and drinks.

Captain chef Charles and son
This was the best experience. Captin Charles and his son are very knowledgeable people. They had great patience with my kids helping all of us with the lures and removing the fish to measuring then and knowing what ones we are allowed to keep. Hands down an amazing chef as well. Not only did Captin Charles clean the fish he cooked us a wonderful meal and delivered right to our door. I was so shocked when he added his homemade salsa, tarter sauce and guacamole with a salad tacos and a key lime cheese cake. Id hire this charter evertime. 100% recommended đź‘Ś

Half Day Trip – out of the ocean
Great day on the water
My family had a fantastic time with Chef Charles. We went 5 miles offshore, and my son was able to try for lobster. Because of the waves and my son's lack of confidence, we decided to fish. We caught a small shark and lots of bites on the reef. We decided to move closer to shore and got 10 snappers. We couldn't stop pulling them out of the water! Captain Charles was great—personable, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We will book with him again in the Spring.

Fun experience!
Captain Kyle with Catch and Sea Charters (filling in for Chef Charles) was very knowledgeable and took us to three different fishing spots. We caught 6 different kinds of fish and were able to keep enough for fish tacos for dinner! Kyle is a really good cook too :)

A memorable fishing trip and dinner
Captain Charlie is a kind, accommodating Captain who worked hard to assure we all had a chance to catch fish. The waves were a bit intense at our first location so he moved the boat to calmer sea for us. We had a wonderful day and the dinner he cooked for us ( including a mangrove snapper that we caught. and could keep) and brought to our place was perfect after a long day of fishing. Thanks Captain Charles and Sam.

4 Hour Trip – Catch 'n' Cook Dinner
Loved the captain/crew but the boat was a bit disappointing
Captain and crew made this a very enjoyable trip and they put us on some good reef fish. The boat and rods could use some improvement as they were not the high standard I’ve grown accustomed to in charter fishing trips. It was not a huge impact on this trip as we didn’t go far off shore to find fun fishing. If you want a good time and a fun time catching fish I highly recommend but… not sure if I would want to go far off shore in that boat though. The chef/captain ended the trio with a delicious meal delivered to our hotel room. He’s a great cook!
