Chac Chi Marina operates a fleet of vessels out of the famous fishing town of Cancun, Mexico, each focused on a certain aspect of these legendary waters. Captain Miguel Sanchez has over 20 years of local experience. His skilled and professional crew will be on hand, rigging your tackle and making sure you stay hooked up all day long.
The Big Bite is a 34' Phoenix offshore sportfishing boat, powered by twin Cummins engines with a combined output of almost 1,000 HP. It comes equipped with the latest electronics, a full spread of outriggers and downriggers, and two fighting chairs – all the essentials for some awesome offshore angling.
It also sports a large flybridge to take in Cancun's stunning views in style. Want to get out of the sun? Step into the fully air-conditioned interior, relax in the comfort of the spacious salon, or take a shower in the enclosed bathroom. Because life is always better with a bit of luxury.
The main target species vary throughout the year, with a wide variety of species migrating past on their way between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. On a half day trip, you can expect to either troll or bottom fish, with Barracuda, Snapper, Grouper, Triggerfish, and Bonito all being on the menu.
Book the boat for the whole day, and you could find yourself targeting Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish, and White and Blue Marlin. You can also hit the reefs to fish for some tasty table fish, or swim and snorkel in this vibrant underwater wonderland.
The dock fee is $10 per person.
Chac Chi Marina's mission is to make every trip as special as it can be, and they will not give up without a fight. So head down to Cancun and get ready for that trip of a lifetime!

Thank you Amy. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Cancun.

Although the boat and crew were excellent, the booking agent Miguel in Cancun ruined my birthday fishing trip because he gave the boat, "Big Bite", the boat that I chartered specifically for my 80th birthday to another customer on June 22nd and tried to put me on a boat named "Heavenly" which was smaller, older, and in poor condition, and then tried to pretend that it was the boat that I chartered. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! If this is the way that FishingBooker operates I will never book a trip through FishingBooker again. I paid the 30% deposit without hesitation, yet the agent tried, although unsuccessfully, to convince me that "Heavenly" was the boat that I chartered. The result was that I did not celebrate my birthday on my birthday, but the day after and I had to completely alter all of my plans for my remaining trip. I should at least be refunded any and all commissions paid to either him or FishingBooker. I may be 80 years old, but I am very cognizant of what I do and have years of boating and fishing experience and am able to recognize one boat from another. I don't appreciate trying to be duped especially after agreeing to a 30% deposit and payment of $855.00. I will never regain what I lost because of this incident. His offer of a free two hour tour was only accepted because I didn't want to totally waste my day or disappoint my guest! Joseph Stewart
