Whether you’re looking for a quiet day on the water to relax and take some photographs, a fishing trip of a lifetime with family or friends, or an evening trip with your significant other, Reel Adventures Fishing is there for you. Captain Ryan Richey does his best to meet any special needs you may have. He offers charters out of Jacksonville and St Augustine and covers the waters from Mayport to Saint Augustine as well as offshore waters out to 60 miles. If there are inexperienced or younger anglers in your group, he recommends taking a shorter day trip. Book with Reel Adventures Fishing and have an exciting and safe day on the water in Florida!
Your adventure takes place on a restored 26’ Mako center console. It can fit 6 guests, runs on two 200HP Suzuki engines, and uses GPS and a fishfinder for navigation. Equipped with outriggers and downriggers, the boat makes fishing easier and more efficient. It also features an ice-box and a livewell. Captain Ryan makes sure you’re safe on the water. Apart from life jackets, there’s a VHf radio,EPIRB and a sat phone so you’re always in touch with someone on the shore.
You’ll target Bull Shark, various sorts of Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Triggerfish, Wahoo, Gag Grouper, and more. Using light and heavy tackle, you can attract them by bottom, deep sea, drift, and handline fishing, as well as by trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping.
Young anglers are always welcomed! Captain Ryan enjoys teaching the young about fishing, baiting the hook, and casting that first cast. He loves watching the smile on their face as they bring in their first catch.
The captain provides all the equipment and licenses needed for a fun day of fishing. Not only he can clean your catch so it’s ready for cooking, but will even offer suggestions for preparing it. All you should bring is some sunscreen and polarized glasses.

Lifetime of memories in a day !!!
We had an amazing day with captain ryan !!! He was so knowledgeable and taught us so many things. All but one of us was our first time fishing. We all caught fish in spite of our inexperience thanks to captain Ryan’s guidance. We went beyond our limit of keeping them, so we had quite a few catch and releases which made the day incredibly exciting. Not only did we catch fish on our very first time we saw some amazing wildlife thanks to Ryan’s keen eye. Sea turtles, sharks, dolphins and even a whale that broached around our boat several times. Captain ryan stayed on top of our every request and needs. At times I thought he was three people managing all of it so well. Thank you Captain Ryan for memories that will last a lifetime for my family.

What an incredible day!
Captain Ryan was so helpful from the first message and kept everything relaxed. We had three small children from ages 6-10 who were so excited about the experience and were not disappointed. Every single one of us caught fish. After the trip, Captain Ryan cleaned our giant Kingfish for us and even directed us where to go get it cooked. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend.

Offshore Trip 6/14
A group of 5 went out with Captain Ryan and had a great time. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area put us on the fish. Everyone in our group of mostly teenage boys caught fish to brag about. Captain Ryan also did a great job filleting our keepers back on shore and everyone went home with some fresh catch. I would highly recommend Captain Ryan for a great day out on the water.

Huge Sheepshead!!!!
Fishing was a little slow but the first catch of the day was a new Youth Fla State record. Weighing in at 7lbs 4oz. Captain Ryan was great today. The wind picked up in the afternoon but that didn’t discourage Capt Ryan from trying to put us some fish. Overall it was a great trip and we highly recommend Captain Ryan. We’re looking forward to booking our next trip!!
