Zander and Perch Fishing Amsterdam
As a UFX Fishing Guide, Captain Juul aims to give you the ultimate fishing experience. He’s dedicated to showing you the best fishing grounds for zander and perch in Amsterdam, and share his knowledge with you.
You’ll be fishing on a 16’ Siegersma custom designed aluminium fishing boat, powered by a 70 HP Yamaha outboard. It also boasts an 80 LB Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor, and comes equipped with three high end Garmin Echomap screens and Garmin Livescope. There’s enough room for 3 guests to enjoy the trip, so bring your nearest and dearest for a thrilling day out.
Amsterdam is famous for its great stocks of Zander and Perch, but also Pike and even Asp can be targeted successfully. Vertical jigging and dropshot fishing are effective techniques, but Capt. Juul is dedicated to casting soft and hard baits as well. Just share your preference with him and he’ll make sure he gets the right tackle for your needs. Of course, he’s always on hand to give advice about techniques and tactics.
You'll be fishing with top-of-the-line St Croix fishing rods of the Tournament and Elite series, equipped with Shimano Vanford and Tranx reels. When it comes to lures and soft baits, Capt. Juul uses only on the best: Megabass, Molix, Keitech, Spro, and much, much more great stuff that's waiting to be eaten.
All fishing equipment, snacks, and drinks are included in the price. If you dont have a Dutch fishing license (VISpas), you can purchase a day license on the day of fishing for only 5 euro.
UFX Fishing Guide Amsterdam is ready to give you a tour you won’t see every day, so come along!
Ps note that fishing with Juul is strictly on Catch and Release basis. Another good thing to know is that in April and May we use nightcrawler only because the use of artificial baits is not allowed by law during this period. The good news is that fishing with worms is often at least as effective as fishing soft baits.

Captain Juul Delivers!
I booked a 6-hour trip with Captain Juul for Zander and Perch. We had a great time and explored a lot of the Amsterdam canals for fish. Captain Juul’s knowledge runs deep and he brings global fishing knowledge to his clients (just ask him about some of his fishing experiences!). Caught multiple Zander using different techniques. As a bonus, Captain Juul makes a custom video of his client’s fishing experience and shares the same at the end of the trip. Tons of fun - highly recommend. First class captain, boat and equipment!

Amsterdam trip we will never forget!
An unforgettable fishing trip in Amsterdam with my son Alex! We had an incredible time on the water, catching plenty of Zander and even a perch. The experience was top-notch—from the stunning views to the expert guidance. The coffee and snacks on board were a perfect touch, making the day even more enjoyable. Captain Juul is the BEST GUIDE!
I booked a 4-hour fishing trip as a thank you to my husband for enjoying the tulips with me at Keukenhof Gardens. Captain Juul was great at corresponding before the trip to make sure I understood about the meeting spot, and he had us catching Zander and Perch right way. Not only is he an extremely knowledgeable guide and very prepared with tackle and high tech equipment, but the conversation was also great. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Captain Juul!

What a trip
I watched a Insta video about the fishing in Amsterdam and decided I needed to go there. I found Juul and liked what he was offering so contacted him on this site. The whole booking process was easy and communication between us was spot on. I stayed in a boat the night before and Juul picked me up from the boat. The whole day was amazing and I learnt so much, I’m experienced with fishing in the UK but he taught me a few different techniques that I’ll be using at home. The boat and equipment is top notch and as a captain and guide I couldn’t have asked for more. The fishing was fantastic and I caught not only my first Zander but also a beast of a fish. The perch were great fun and huge compared to what we get in the UK. The days catch was over 20 and I couldn’t have asked for more. I’d highly recommend a trip with Juul and I’m already checking my dates to arrange my next trip to Amsterdam but to fish for Pike this time.

Great fishing experience with highly skilled captain and great catches
Shortly after getting onto the boat we had the first fish contact. It did not take long until the first Zander was in the boat. The captain Juul is an very experienced fisherman who his area and the conditions very well. Despite the strong winds he was able to find nice spots to fish. I do highly recommend this fishing trip close to the city center of Amsterdam. It is a great add on to your Amsterdam city trip.
