Are you ready to try your hand at the inshore Grand Slam? Here is a great opportunity to target the 4 species that make up this collection of awesome game fish. You'll test your skills and have a great time doing so.

You'll spend the day with Captain Kester Herbert. With decades of experience under his belt, he knows where to go to give you the best chance of achieving your grand slam. For those that just want to fish in these incredible waters without going after the inshore slam, that's completely fine too! There is something for everybody.

Step on board his 23' custom flats boat. You and 2 fishing friends will have enough space to fish comfortably at the same time. This boat has a 130 HP Yamaha engine, which will get you to the fishing grounds before you know it. The fishfinder and Capt. Kester's extensive knowledge will do the rest, keeping you on top of the fish throughout your trip.

You'll be targeting Snook, Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, and even a Jack Crevalle or two. If you're not going after the slam, then these are still great fish to target. Tarpon is notorious for breaking free in over 60% of cases, so to reel the Silver King in is a big accomplishment – you'll definitely have bragging rights after that!

All rods and reels are included, and are top quality Penn and Shimano. You are more than welcome to bring along your own lucky rod along. You can also bring along food and drink – you'll need to keep your energy up. Toddlers and babies are not allowed on this trip, but children who can hold a rod are welcome.

Over the years running these charters, Capt. Kester has had 15 people achieve the Grand Slam on fly fishing and 22 so far on spinning gear. There have been 3 double Grand Slam in a 1/2 day trip – you never know what bite, so come and try your luck!

There is no better time to book. Achieve your fishing dreams today!

kester is knowledgeable and delightful. we were having poor luck due to choppy waves and heavy clouds but kester made adjustments while providing great conversation and we ended the day with a few nice fish. definitely recommended.

Full day trip on the flats

Kester is a very knowledgeable and capable captain that cares passionately about the fishery in Tobago. He work hard to put us on fish while also giving us a greater understanding of the problems he faces around the island such as over fishing by the commercial fisherman, pollution and global warming .We had a stellar day boating numerous large bone fish and saw several large tarpon and permit. It was a pleasure to fish with him in such a beautiful place. I would highly recommend a day out on the water with this gentleman, a outing you won't soon forget. Hoping I can get back soon and do it again!

Kester's expertise
Full Day Trip on December 6, 20181 adult

Kester is an amazing guide and great guy. The fishing was hard and even Kester was astonished by the lack of fish on the flats. My advice for anyone looking for a Slam is to not go to Tobago in December! Kester tells me that July is the time for inshore slams. His boat will not meet your expectations but he will exceed them. Fish with Kester.
