This crew will do its best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 5 to 10-hour trips, for Smallmouth Bass. TC is known for trophy Smallmouth fishing. You'll be using light gear in the crystal clear waters of the bay. Expect to be fishing from a couple feet deep to 30' deep for these hard fighting fish. On these trips you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle and spinning.
You'll be fishing out a fully equipped Champion Bay boat that is built to hand Traverse Bay and can safely take up to 3 anglers. Boat is equipped with Gamin electronics with 2 Garmin Ultra 2 126sv with down scan, side imaging and Livescope also a Garmin 93sv for mapping and down imaging.
All rods, reels and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Our experience with Captain Jack was top notch! The trip was for my 13 year old son and I, and it was our first time on Traverse Bay. We came away with a fish just under 5 lbs and several more in the 3lbs range. We fished every type of terrain the bay had to offer from shallow rock fields, to depth line transitions to submerged points in 20 plus feet, coming away with fish at each. We had a great day with guide knowledgeable about the fishery, the history of the area, and who is truly excited to share his experience with you. We will definitely be back again next year!

We had a wonderful day fishing with Jack. He was attentive with my wife in helping her cast and giving pointers on where the fish were.We even doubled up a couple times! Kept us on fish throughout the day which made the trip fun.Would definitely recommend him for a guided trip.

Big Smallmouth Bass

Captain Jack did a great job teaching us how to fish for smallmouth bass. Better yet, he put us in places all over West Bay where caught very large smallmouth bass. He is also very much fun to spend time fishing with. As an additional bonus he let us fish longer than our scheduled time frame. We’ll fish with Captain Jack again!
