Have a beautiful fishing experience with Dragonfly Charters as you explore the scenic inshore and nearshore waters, flats, and the backcountry of Florida. Captain Mike Moran will meet you in Cape Coral and take you on a fun and enjoyable trip to the area’s grounds rich with many respectable fish species. The captain is a lifelong angler with lots of passion for the water and he knows how to provide a successful trip. Join him aboard and have a day to remember!
Your boat for the day will be a 16’ SaltMarsh flats boat that can fit 2 guests. It runs on a 70 HP Yamaha engine and uses GPS for better navigation. It has got a livewell in order to provide you with live bait.
The species you, your companion, and the captain will be chasing include Tarpon, Snook, Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, Pompano, Tripletail, Sheepshead, Redfish, Cobia, and more. In order to attract them, you can use spinning, popping, and fly fishing, all on light tackle. You’re free to keep the fish you catch as well as to bring your kids aboard.
Captain Mike supplies all the fishing equipment, live bait, lures, as well as licenses. Before you depart, just make sure you have some snacks and drinks with you.

Half Day morning trip
Outstanding Trip!
Captain Mike Moran is an outstanding guide and person. He's a consummate professional and really works his tail off to put you on fish. Mike knows his trade well. He grew up fishing these waters and it shows. My wife Steph and I had an absolutely fantastic trip today and despite the tough conditions still managed to hook some really nice snook despite my crappy casting! Do yourself a favor and book a trip with Mike. He's a great guide with a beautiful skiff, and a tremendous personality. You'll be glad you did!

Awesome time on the water!
Mike was great! He grew up on these waters so he was very knowledgeable. As an ex local, that also grew up here, I knew we were in good hands. He has great gear and and a great boat. He got us on the fish right away! I caught my pb snook and redfish within the first hour. We actually lost count how many we caught. After the bite slowed down, we took a trip to Cayo Costa and saw some dolphins then got to see some manatees up close. I highly recommend booking him! The pictures dont lie! I will be booking him the next time I come back down. He is a great Captain and super nice guy.

Half day afternoon trip
Had a fantastic time
We had a FANTASTIC time with Captain Mike! He is knowledgeable about the waters that we fished in. He also has an innate love for nature. So, if you're a naturalist, you will absolutely enjoy his time and energy. We had a half day excursion, and we caught numerous species of fish. However, the most abundant species that we caught were Snook. They ranged from approximately 1-1.5lbs to 8lbs. We also caught an approximately 8-10lb Red Fish, Cat Fish, and some other small fish. We got a guided tour of the mangroves, and the sad history of how Hurricane Ian completely decimated the area. His boat was the perfect size for my wife and me. I would (will) certainly book with Captain Mike again when we are in the Cape Coral area. Please see some of the attached pics. Thanks again, Captain Mike, for making my wife's 50th birthday positively memorable!

Great day on the water with Captain Mike
Captain Mike was a great guide. From the start, he was punctual and informed us of everything we’d be doing for the day. He also had a livewell full of good baits to last us all day. The fishing on our specific day was alittle tough. Fish were being very finicky and it was much windier than the forecast projected to be, however Mike still found a way to get us on some fish. Would recommend Mike every time for a guide in Matlacha!!! See you soon Mike!

Half day afternoon trip
We caught dinner!
I come down to visit my buddy every year. The last couple years that we have gone out fishing we didn’t catch much, let alone a keeper. Within 5 minutes of casting our first lines we were catching fish! Captain Mike was super friendly and knew where the fish were biting. We caught our limit for Redfish and Captain Mike cleaned them for us so we could have them for dinner. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had! This was some of the most fun I had on my vacation. I highly recommend Captain Mike if you’re looking to catch fish and have a great day out on the water.
