Full Day Trip - Offshore
We had Captain John along with his Deckhand, Cole. They were both great, and hustled to keep things moving. The Captain found the tuna at the first spot, but they were completely uninterested in our bait as they were swarming on some other bait schools. A bit further out, we landed a very nice black fin tuna, then we decided to try red snapper. We were hooked up on red snapper almost non-stop! At one point, we had 3 fish on at the same time. We got our snapper bag limit, and headed back with a good haul.

The trip began on time, we spent short time at a marker finding bait for the tuna. Then we rode to the rigs to fish. We caught two beautiful yellow fin tuna trolling in spite of the occasional barracuda and shark. Captain John tried other methods when the tuna stopped biting but they were stubborn. The tuna put up an amazing fight and we are all going to do some weightlifting before planning the next trip. On the way back in, we stopped for red snapper. I believe the minute we set our lines, a fish was on the hook. We kept the first mate, Deuce and Captain John quite busy and caught our limit in an hour. Captain John did his very best to give us an incredible fishing experience. God took care of the beautiful views views and weather. It was a stellar day! We would definitely book another trip with Fish Commander.

Great experience with Captain Sam, and deckhand Grant! We went about 40 miles out, off Port Fourchon, LA. Our first stop was overrun by Juvenile sharks, we moved to a second rig and we started hitting Red Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, and 1 Cobia! Unfortunately, the Red Snapper were out of season, or we could've filled the boat! However, we were able to get some very good eating fish for the freezer! Overall, a great experience and my wife and I would defiantly book again, maybe going for a Marlin or Tuna next time! Patrick J. Pope
