Salty Fresh Fishing Charters offer you memorable salt or freshwater fishing trip in Florida. Search flats and reefs and have a great time chasing various prized species that inhabit these bountiful grounds. You can also head out to the Everglades and try to catch the exotic species that thrive in South Florida. Captain Charles Ocasio will meet you in Homestead and take you for your adventure. Join in and have fun fishing!
The vessel you’ll be using is an 18’ Sea Chaser flats boat that can fit up to 3 guests. It runs on a 150 HP Yamaha VMAX engine and uses a fishfinder, GPS system, as well as VHF radio in order to provide for safe and efficient movement on the water. The boat has got a wireless trolling motor uses for a more discreet approach to the fish and is equipped with a livewell. You’ll also have an ice-box at your disposal so you can store your fish or drinks.

In the flats, Captain Charles can help you land Bonefish, Permit, big Snook, and Tarpon. He can also take you reef fishing for Mangrove and Mutton Snapper as well as Grouper. In South Florida Waterways, Peacock and Largemouth Bass can be found in abundance.
Using light tackle, you’ll attract your prey by trolling, spinning, popping, and drift fishing. You’re free to keep the fish you catch as well as to bring your kids aboard.
Your trip includes all the fishing equipment, live bait, catch cleaning, and licenses. The captain will also provide water and ice, so the only thing you should bring is the food of your choice.

2 hour Peacock Bass Trip
Unforgettable Peacock Bass Trip with Captain Charles!
We had an amazing freshwater fishing trip with Salty Fishing Charter out of Miami, targeting peacock bass, and it couldn’t have gone better. Captain Charles was the perfect guide—knowledgeable, laid-back, and clearly passionate about putting people on fish. From the minute we got on the boat, he made us feel at home. He knew exactly where to go and how to work the waters to get results. Within minutes, we were hooking into beautiful, hard-fighting peacock bass, and the action just kept going all day. These fish are aggressive, colorful, and so much fun to catch—it was a total blast. The gear was in great shape, the boat was clean and comfortable, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Captain Charles shared a lot of helpful tips and made sure everyone was having a great time, no matter their skill level.

Half Day – Peacock Bass Everglades
Great trip for catching fish and seeing wildlife!
We went on the 4hr Everglades Peacock bass trip with Capt Charles. He was super responsive to messages and very easy to work with. He worked hard to make sure we had live bait for the trip, and put us onto big fish right away. It’s clear he knows the water well and took us to several spots where we got many bites. We caught some monster peacock bass, largemouth, and gar. He pointed out wildlife including gators, birds and manatees. The boat was comfortable, he played great music and overall we had a great time. Would highly recommend a trip with him if you get the chance.

2 hour Peacock Bass Trip
Great experience ..!!
We had a quick fishing trip on our final day of the Miami vacation. We were a group of 4 (2 Adults and 2 Kids). Captain Charles took us to a fresh water body for Peacock bass fishing. He was very punctual, helpful and communication was very good. He took us to 3 different spots based on the biting and we were able to catch (all 4 of us) plenty of them. I would strongly recommend Captain Charles and would love to work with him in future if we come back to FL for fishing …. Thank you Captain Charles.

Half Day Trip – Peacock Bass Miami
Fishing with Charles
My family had a great time on the four hour fishing trip. Charles recommended a great location that resulted in my family catching multiple fish. My son was specifically looking to catch Peacock Bass and he was able to catch atleast 10 in addition to some other types of fish. We did catch and release due to being from out of town & had a successful trip.
