Private sport fishing charters out of Los Sueños Marina in Playa Herradura, Costa Rica. You'll fish aboard the Dream II, a 32' Luhrs Open Express running twin Cummins diesels at 24 knots, with up to 5 anglers. The captain has 20+ years of experience in these Central Pacific waters.
Three trip options:
- Full-day (8 hr) inshore reefs 3 to 10 miles out. Roosterfish, snapper, grouper, jacks.
- Full-day (8 hr): offshore drop-off 22 to 28 miles out. Sailfish, marlin, tuna, dorado, wahoo.
- Multi-day FAD trips: 70 to 140 miles offshore for trophy blue and black marlin (300 to 800+ lbs).
Target species: Pacific sailfish (peak Jan to Apr, 15 to 20 release days are common), blue marlin (200 to 400 lbs avg), black marlin, striped marlin (Nov to Jan), yellowfin tuna (peak Jun to Aug, up to 300 lbs), dorado/mahi-mahi, wahoo, roosterfish, cubera snapper, grouper, jack crevalle.
Costa Rica law requires catch-and-release on all marlin, sailfish, and roosterfish, with mandatory circle hooks. Tuna, dorado, wahoo, snapper, and grouper can be kept within bag limits. We clean your catch dockside, and local restaurants in Herradura and Jaco will cook it for dinner.
Included: rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, fuel, water, soft drinks. Lunch on full-day trips. Bring sun protection, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a camera.
A Costa Rica sport fishing license is required for ages 16+ ($15/week or $30/month via INCOPESCA). We help arrange it.
Los Sueños Marina is 90 minutes from San José Intl. Airport (SJO) and 10 minutes north of Jaco. The marina hosts the Los Sueños Triple Crown tournament. Message us for open dates.

The Captain and Kevin are first class people!! We caught two sailfish and 5 yellow fin tuna... One of our Pacific Sailfish was 128" in length...A GREAT day to fish and hangout with my family and the boat crew!! Pura Vida!!!
was an amazing day on the water with captain moises and first mate kevin. this is our second time fishing with them now they make sure we are taken care of always adjusting to keep us on fish! we caught 4 sailfish and probably ten yellowfin tuna was an amazing day we will find them again next year!
Captian Michael and Kevin were great. Top-shelf service. Caught more fish than we could eat, gave some away.
This boat is the real deal. Pack a bag and don't be late. These boys really know how to get on them. Captain Moses was very thorough and entertaining. The first mate Kevin was non stop with the action and kept the pace all day. Not to mention the fresh lunch he service while we did a little trolling on the way in. Hands down the best experience I've had on a boat! Worth the money and definitely made some memories. Thanks guys you really put did yourself. See you again soon!!!
