Captain Thomas Sargent will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 3 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Trout, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, and Drum.
Your fishing adventure starts on the 2nd Chance, a 22’ Parker center console that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with a portable toilet, an iced cooler, a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell. It runs on a 150 HP Yamaha four stroke engine and uses fishfinder, GPS, and VHF radio electronics for navigation.
All the rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The captain or crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Just bring your snacks and drinks before you depart.

4 Hour Morning Trip (7am)bay on April 26, 2025
My siblings and I were searching for a private fishing. I’m local - they came from WI and MN. Jake responded quickly to our inquiries and we got trip planned! Before the trip Cap’n Jake was helpful in answering our questions and providing good details. We met on the dock and were on the water and moving within minutes. His knowledge of the area and the fish we were going to catch were great. Providing all the tackle and live shrimp to catch fish, we started casting right away. First fish on was a 32” red fish!!!!! Too big to keep, but really fun to catch!!! Jake would cast the lure and bait and hand the rods over to us and give us tips. It was a really fun trip and Jake was a great captain. We will definitely be using him again!!!!

GREAT day with Jake on the water today. Boys loved being on the water and seeing the fish come In. He put us right on the fish and we hit limit on redfish within an hour! Spent the rest of the time looking for sea trout and black drum. Next time we’re in Destin, we’ll be back. Thanks for a great day, Jake!

The experience captain jake gave me and my fiancée was amazing! Making sure we got every experience possible!!!! We got on the fish after a little while and he made sure that we were able to come home with some meals!!! A++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! this man is a god send and anyone coming to fort walton/destin area should join him!!!!

4 Hour Late Morning Trip (11am)bay on April 15, 2025
My husband, 2 son-in-laws and 3 grandchildren (7, 11, and 14) went out with Captain Jake. Everyone caught fish! They had such a good time and caught our dinner! The Captain cleaned the catch and per his recommendation we took it to LJ Schooners. They prepared the fish and we had a wonderful feast!

2hr kids trip (3:30 p.m) bay on March 18, 2025
We scheduled a 2-hour trip and we caught plenty of fish (red fish and black drum). Captain Jake was great with our 15-yr old and 11 yr old, having kids of his own. We definitely recommend his service. Wish we had scheduled at least one more hour! Thank Jake for a great afternoon.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
