Off The Hook Charters –Capt. Hunter
Off The Hook Charters invites you and your family fishing on the beautiful Gulf Coast waters of Gulf Shores, Alabama. This excursion is operated by Captain Hunter. Captain Hunter has been competing in fishing tournaments along the coast since a very young age and has always enjoyed spending every second he could on the water and behind the wheel of a boat. Chartering is a life long passion for him. Hunter is great with children and families, and looks forward to getting your group out on the water.
We will take you out on his 24’ Kenner center console boat, originally built in 2000, and fully restored in 2021. This boat is powered by a 200HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 36 knots. There is enough room on the boat for up to 4 people fishing without feeling too crowded.
The vessel is fully equipped with all the best safety and navigational features such as a Garmin GPS and fishfinder. The boat contains all the finest quality fishing gear and tackle that is user-friendly. There are also live and artificial baits and a fishing license.
Our number one goal is to provide a safe and fun fishing experience for your whole group. Cliff will share his knowledge with you and help you reel in as many fish as possible. We work very hard to take our customers to the best spots while providing an opportunity to catch fish and make great memories.
The captain will take you fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Pompano, Red Snapper, Cobia, King and Spanish Mackerel, and many more species depending on fish migratory patterns and what may be in season at the time of your trip.
Your fishing grounds can be the shallow marshy back bay flats, the crystal clear beaches, and the nearby offshore reefs based on seasons and migratory fish patterns. Please note that a 15-25% tip is customary. Thank you!

Captain Hunter was great!!
The trip was great. We were supposed to go out at noon, but they called around 9 AM and asked if we could go out at 10. Because another captain had gotten sick, which worked out for the best me, and my eight year old son went out and we caught uh, one sheep's head, and then we went out a little further and caught white trout, because they were easier for my son to catch. Hunter did great with my son. He walked him through every step, never got frustrated he Helped every time we needed it.Would highly recommend him as your captain.

Hunter with Off the Hook Charters was amazing. We go o. yearly fishing trips and have never had a more amazing experience. Hunter put us on the fish, was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure we had the best fishing experience. We caught our limit and had a great time while doing so. Most Fish Caught on a Charter - EVER!
And not just quantity, but BIG fish! Captain Hunter lived up to his name. He went hunting for fish, and he found them. It was an incredible day as we were lucky enough to find a massive school of literally thousands of fish, mostly Reds and Drums. Our first fish weighed nearly 40 lbs, and we fought it for 45 minutes. Then we caught eight more, each weighing at least 20 lbs each. We snagged a few smaller catfish and a stingray to round out the day. Kudos to Captain Hunter for putting us on the fish and helping us navigate around the boat, up and under rods, as we fought these fish during our morning charter. We had a great time and would recommend this charter.

Capt. Hunter knows his stuff!
Capt. Hunter put us on the fish right away and we limited out on Spanish Mackerel and got a couple Kings, a bluefish, and a small shark. This was a challenging time of year as well and he just knew exactly what was needed. I’d highly recommend this charter with Capt. Hunter!

Capt Hunter was great. Put us right on the fish and the action didn't stop. Hit our limit before it was time to head in. He was great with my two boys, giving instruction and encouragement. Would definitely recommend Capt Hunter and Off The Hook.
