Looking to go fishing in Hurghada? That's what Sally is here for!
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Great Barracuda, Bonito, Coral Trout, African Pompano Jack, Squid, Hamour Grouper, Sailfish, Rusty Jobfish, Dogtooth Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, and whatever else is biting. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You'll be dropping lines from a 40' sportfishing vessel that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Sally.
