Tarpon trip (pm)
We signed up for an evening Tarpon run and Captain Spencer was friendly as could be even though we were his 3rd trip of the day (he had been up since 4am and we left the dock around 5:15pm). 10/10 would recommend and I’ve gone out with about a dozen different guides in FL. He knew where the fish were. First spot we got to we saw about a dozen 125lb+ tarpon swim right under the boat and about a dozen more rolling close by. Unfortunately due to lighting it was hard to see the fish in time. Next spot we hooked up on 2 monsters! I hooked the first on the fly which was a ~150lber which I lost but still a blast. Minutes later the person I was with hooked another monster and also lost it. This was both of our first time catching big tarpon and we were going by moonlight so it a little difficult. To finish off the night Tyler took us to one last spot and the person I was with hooked a 125lb+. We were in super strong current with lots of obstacles and Spencer was incredible maneuvering the boat to ensure the fish didn’t break off making runs under the boat, etc. The fish made it to the boat and it was an unforgettable experience. Will 100% be contacting Spencer again next time I’m here! Highly recommend.

Half Day Trip – Backcountry/Inshore
We had a nice morning on the water and really appreciated the guide’s effort and knowledge. The conditions weren’t quite in our favor for landing a lot of fish, but that’s part of the game. We did have a good battle with a big shark that really got our blood pumping and put a nice snapper in the box for dinner. Still, it was a relaxing and enjoyable trip with some great scenery and good company. Would definitely consider going out with Capt. Spencer again!

We had so much fun with Captain Spencer. Though he was bummed we didn't catch more keepers, we had a blast catching a wide variety of fish from pork fish, mutton, puffer, yellow tail snapper, hog fish, and even a grouper. He was a great teacher and took time to share fun facts about the fish we caught. Plus we we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Half Day Trip – Backcountry/Inshore
Spencer was a great guide! Splitting time between the Outer Banks and Marathon, he took us to all of his favorite spots even with questionable weather. An exceptional guide, who I hope stays in the Keys for our next trip out! Highly recommend, incredibly friendly demeanor and provides great recommendations for the area as well!

Morning started off slow at the seven mile bridge, but captain Spencer kept pushing and got us on the fish.
