Captain Ben will meet you at Gulfport Municipal Marina, pier 6 slip 11, and take you to nearshore or offshore fishing grounds full of all kinds of species you can catch. The captain’s main priority is to provide his guests with a safe, fun, and productive trip. Pick your day, come aboard, and create awesome fishing memories!
Your "Reel Adventure" will take place on a restored 36’ Topaz Sport fisherman Vessel that can accommodate up to 6 anglers. Powered by twin 330 HP Cummings engines and rigged with up-to-date fishing finding and navigation technology. "Reel Adventure" features 33’ outriggers to enhance the trolling fishing experience.
The boat has a stand-up headroom/private toilet as well as V-berths and large dinette. Captain Ben will accommodate guests with disabilities (Please call ahead for planning).
Depending on the season and weather conditions our target species include Sheepshead, Bull Red-fish, Speckled Trout, King and Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, awesome Sharks, aggressive Cobia, and Black Drum. Captain Ben provides both light and heavy tackle and the methods for bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, as well as drift fishing. You’re free to keep your catch. The first mate will be on hand to help you with all stages of the trip. Tipping the first mate for their hard work is greatly appreciated.
Captain Ben invites your fishing group as well as your children for a beautiful day on the water. He’ll provide all the fishing gear; bait; fishing licenses; and offers free cleaning and filleting of the day’s catch. Just bring your favorite snacks and drinks, and an ice chest on board if you desire, and you’ll be set for a "Reel Adventure" you won’t forget!

4 Hour Trip on June 15, 2025
Let me begin by saying, Captain Ben and Crew, made Father's Day fun and relaxing for a group of 5 men who desperately needed it. Captain Ben was able to get our guys out on the water the week of Father's Day which was a blessing 🙏, considering not many boat Captains had openings. I'm truly happy it worked out that way. Captain Ben was communicative from beginning to end and, even afterwards. This is a big deal for me because nowadays that is almost unheard of. Our boys were shark fishing and, at first, to no avail. However, Captain Ben and Crew were going to do everything in their power to make it happen and...did! They ended up with 3 (2 bigger and 1 smaller) beautiful Bull Sharks. We were in communication throughout. The way Captain Ben let me know they had caught their 1st shark was by sending me a recipe for shark 😂. I enjoy his humor and, the fact that he remembered I had told him I haven't had shark in a long time and, that I've never had the pleasure of cooking it. Psst...that's how you keep customers coming back btw. The men stayed out a little longer than contracted because he wanted them to have fish. How awesome is that! Captain Ben and Crew, genuinely care about the experience of their passengers. The fish were cleaned and filleted beautifully and, our dinner served 16 people with plenty of uncooked shark left for each of the men to take home a full gal sized ziplock bag of shark! I will be calling on Captain Ben every time we need to catch fish and have fun doing it. I definitely and VERY highly recommend Captain Ben and his hardworking, knowledgeable, and super fun Crew! 4 Hour Trip on June 19, 2025
I have an elderly father who is less than mobile. Captain Ben’s boat was easy to find and park next too. It also had hand rails and steps which made it easy to get in and out of the boat. Captain Ben knew of several great fishing spots where we kept his mate on his toes with all the fish we were catching!!! Captain Ben didn’t waste anytime at one spot and was willing to move to keep us on the fish. We booked a 4hr 6-19-25 and caught keeper speckle trout, slot reds, sheep head, ground mullet and white trout!!!! Will go again next time we’re down here!!!

Half-day fishing trip with Captain Ben's Charters
6 Hour Trip on June 6, 2025
Our intent was to get some Red Fish - So, we asked Cpt Ben to try this first, then have a fallback of fishing in closer to shore. After a slow start pulling in a few mackerel - Cpt Ben put us on some Red Fish. It seemed like all of the lines were hitting one after the other- we pulled in two nice red fish and a Jack fish before things slowed a bit. After 30 minutes of no hits, we headed back towards shore to fish off the jetties and marina areas. We were rewarded with some speckled trout and a nice flounder. it was immediately clear that Cpt Ben was a highly experienced charter captain. He ran his boat smoothly and efficiently, with no drama or surprises. His mate for that day, although young, seemed like he had grown up with a rod & reel in his hand, so we were taken care of by experts. In all we had an excellent day of fishing and thoroughly enjoyed our time with Cpt Ben. I highly recommend Cpt Ben's Charters to provide a rewarding day of Gulf Fishing. We look forward to coming back again soon.

Captain Ben was fantastic. He called me several days before our trip to ask about our group’s experience level, which I really appreciated—especially since our wives don’t normally fish. Before we headed out, he took the time to explain what they could expect, walked them through the gear, and made sure they felt comfortable and ready to have fun. We limited out on redfish within the first hour, then spent the rest of the trip chasing flounder and sand trout. I’ve been on more than a dozen charter trips, and Captain Ben’s customer service easily ranks in the top three.

5 Hour Trip on August 12, 2024
Captain Ben and his crew Luke were fantastic to work with. Communication beforehand was easy and detailed. We took our family of 6 for a morning trip. We didn't have much luck fishing for bait, but Captain Ben had other bait for us, thankfully. I was afraid we would have a hard time catching the big fish, based on bait fishing, but I was wrong! Not long after we arrived at one of his favorite spots, we started catching. We reached our limit of red drum fish very quickly. Our kids really wanted to catch sharks next, but the sharks weren't biting. So that was a bit disappointing, but it didn't matter. We all 6 had a fantastic time! Thank you to Captain Ben and Luke!

Now having fished the Mississippi Gulf Coast area for over the last 10 years, He is prepared to show you the best fishing in these waters.
