Captain Ben’s Charters invites you to spend a day on the "Reel Adventure" fishing the waters of Mississippi and experience the beauty of a bountiful and scenic fishery. Captain Ben will meet you at Gulfport Municipal Marina, pier 6 slip 11, and take you on nearshore or offshore fishing grounds full of all kinds of species you can catch. The captain does his best to provide his guests with a safe, fun, and productive trip. Pick your day, come aboard, and create awesome fishing memories!
Your "Reel Adventure" will take place on a restored 36’ Topaz saltwater fishing boat that can accommodate up to 6 anglers. Powered by twin 330 HP Cummins engines and rigged with comprehensive navigation technology, it will take you to the fishing spots quickly and safely. The "Reel Adventure" uses 33’ outriggers to enhance the trolling fishing experience.
The boat has a stand-up headroom/private toilet as well as V-berths and large dinette. Captain Ben offers accommodations for guests with disabilities (Please call ahead for planning). On certain trips, the cabin area will be air-conditioned.
The target species you can catch include Sheepshead, Bull Redfish, Speckled Trout, King and Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Shark, Cobia, and Black Drum. Captain Ben provides both light and heavy tackle and the methods for bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, as well as drift fishing. If you want to, you’re free to keep your catch. The chief mate, Ryan, will be on hand to help
you with all parts of the trip. Please remember that your mate works for tips, 15%-20% is Industry standard.
Captain Ben invites your fishing group for a beautiful day on the water, kids are also more than welcome. He’ll provide all the fishing gear, bait, and fishing licenses and offers free cleaning and filleting of the days catch. Just bring your favorite snacks and drinks and you’ll be ready for a "Reel Adventure" you won’t soon forget!
