Old Florida Charter Co. is a veteran-owned and operated business located near Palm Beach, Florida. Captain Garrett has been fishing for over 30 years and would love to share his passion with you. He will work hard to ensure you have a day filled with laughs and hooksets, memories that will last a lifetime, and hopefully a new friendship.
The freshwater lakes and canals of Southeast Florida, between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, provide over 50 miles of fishable area that are all interconnected. Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Clown Knife Fish, Snakehead, and several other species call this system home. On these 4 to 8-hour trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, fly fishing, jigging, top water, casting, and spinning gear. Trips often use a combination of live bait and artificial lures.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 21' Tracker Grizzly that can safely take up to 6 anglers. The boat comes with a wireless trolling motor.
Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time for anyone 16 or older. Old Florida Charter Co. offers only catch and release on our freshwater trips, so any fish you catch will be returned to the water. The boat will be supplied with bottled water and you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.

Entertaining, experienced captain got us all on fish the whole trip. Boat was large and comfortable for 3 anglers, could have handled another 1 or 2 easily. Essentially unlimited included live bait was super great to have on board. Highly recommend

Captain had more fun when we caught fish than we did! lol. Good times. started slow but he put us on some fish. That's what we wanted!
Garrett was awesome. Was over from Australia and hadn’t done freshwater fishing in Florida before. My preference was lures which Garrett thought might be challenging in the prevailing conditions but nonetheless he put me on to fish including first Peacock Bass. Worked his ass off, very knowledgeable and patient but tells crap jokes :) Would highly recommend this experience to others. Cheers Michael
