Ledge Runner Charters is located in New Castle and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.
Capt. Elias will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 12-hour trips, mainly fishing for Haddock, Pollock, and Tuna, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 32’ BHM boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. This boat comes with a toilet and an ice-box.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

8 Hour Trip – Haddock
My Family Had a Great Time With Captain Eli
I’ve been wanting to take my kids on a deep sea fishing charter for a while now, so we were looking around and found the Ledge Runner with Captain Elias. He’s a young captain but very good at what he does! Within the first 30 minutes we got on to striper bass. He put us on some nice schools of haddock, sand sharks, some cusks, red fish, even some pollock, and the biggest fish of the day was a 6 foot Port Beagle- which is supposed to be good eating as I was told from the locals but it snapped the line. Still really fun to reel in though. If you are looking for a charter right now, I highly recommend going with this one! Cannot wait to book another charter with Elias!

4 Hour Trip – Striped Bass

My wife and two teenagers had the best fishing day of our lives on June 11, 2024 with Capt. Eli. He skillfully positioned us in the middle of a school of large striped bass. Within minutes of putting out the first live mackerel my wife hooked into a 36' striper. That was the smallest fish we caught that day. The largest was 47' . Frequently we had a double hookup. Not more than 5 minutes passed before Eli had us in another school of stripers. My daughter was fishing like a pro after fighting her 4th fish of the day. We caught more than 20 fish in 3 hours. Artificial lures were just as effective as live bait. We were extremely fortunate to have booked with Capt. Eli who consistently had his eyes on the depth gauge while baiting a line or netting a fish or taking our photos. Next time do as we did - don't go fishing with Capt. Eli. Nice, stable boat. Captain Eli is a solid fisherman and easy going. Went even though it was a bit rougher. Lots of haddock. Some big pollack and a few legal cod. One for two on giant tuna which we released. Lots of whales. Super day. Thank you. Also not overpriced. Nice marina and good communication. Had a blast.

Our family had a great day out on the water, caught some good stripe bass, kids had a blast. Boat, captain Eli and equipment was great! We will definitely back for tuna later this year and bass again next year with Eli.
