+54Revival Fishing welcomes you to Wanchese, NC! Captain Lewis will take you on a fishing trip you’ll never forget. Whether you want to get an exciting ocean adventure or a more laid-back trip around the sound, you’ll find everything you need right here. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join, so bring your favorite people along and start casting!
You’ll be fishing on a 29’ C-Hawk boat that’s powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine. There’s enough room for 6 guests to join. This center console is equipped with navigational and safety gear, a live bait tank, and a cooler.
When Capt. Lewis isn’t running fishing charters, from fall to spring, this boat is used as his commercial fishing boat. During this time, he uses this boat to hook and line fish for Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, Tilefish, and Amberjack. These are all the species you can catch during your trip as well!
It’s a great way to get an experience of fishing from a commercial boat. The only difference is you get to keep the catch. Usually, Captain Lewis sells his catch to O’Neils Seafood, and from there it makes its way to fish markets, grocery stores, and restaurants around the world.
All fishing equipment is covered, so you just need to pack your snacks and drinks and come aboard Revival Fishing!

We had such an enjoyable time out on the water. The captain made sure we all had a good time. He stayed until my son caught the fish that kept stealing his bait. Honestly, the ride out trolling and coming back was completely worth it. The fish we caught was an added bonus. The first time we have all been out fishing on the ocean and the captain made it an experience we won't forget.

Captain Lewis was an amazing guide! He was kind, patient and excellent with the kids! In the little time we spent with him you can tell he is a great guy and passionate about fishing and cares about his crew having a good time. Would highly recommend him and we will be going with him again next year.

3/4 Day Trip on September 23, 2024
Booked a 3/4 day trip for myself, my daughter and her husband. Was hoping for some wreck fishing but the recent storms and strong NorEast winds dictated differently. No worries. That said, Captain Lewis took us to various spots on the sound fishing for different opportunities while keeping us totally in tune what each area could potentially produce. Had a blast! My daughter caught 2 nice sea trout, a nice sized blue where her husband and I caught one each, a sea trout and a blue. Captain Lewis was very helpful, knowledgeable and completely interactive which made our first trip on the sound very memorable. No matter what trip you’re going to book, you can’t go wrong with Captain Lewis and Waymaker Charters - Revival. Will be back next year for certain!

My best friend and I booked the trip initially as a part of a of memorial trip for my father who recently passed, and couldn't have been more happy with how everything went. Captain Lewis was very knowledgeable and accommodating with using specific gear that I had bought, getting us on multiple opportunities for fish, and also very up front and honest about our chances with the species we were targeting (red drum) but he was determined to put us on some fish, which he did in spades, and provided us with one of the most fantastic experiences I've had in 40 years on the water. Thanks again!
