Capt. Codey will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 6 to 10-hour trips, mainly fishing for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Lake Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as trolling.
Weather permitting, the crew will start its open water Trout and Salmon season in April out of The Town of Newfane Marina or Wilson Harbor or both. In the spring, the focus will be put near the “Bar”, or the mighty Niagara River delta. Fishing is always good here, but in the spring, Lake Trout and King Salmon stack in and around the drops. This is due to baitfish feeding in Lake Erie’s rich waters. This makes fishing in the lake incredible, with over 30 hookups not being uncommon.
Lake Ontario’s world-class fishery is second to none. With an abundance of various Salmon and Trout species, you will have plenty of opportunity to get into drag-screaming coldwater fish. Although not common, Atlantic Salmon has been coming up further and further, making your list for catching even bigger.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 22’ Lund boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers.
