Running angling trips out of Loreto, Rubio Sportfishing invites you to check out the local fishery in style, on one of their super panga boats.
Capt. Alfredo is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, or jigging, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 7-hour trips, you can target species like Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Marlin, and Snapper, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
You’ll be fishing from a 25’ Honda boat with enough room for up to 4 anglers at any single time.
When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.
No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter.
You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.
You’ll find free snacks, drinks, and lunch on the boat for your convenience, but you’re always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

7 Hour Trip – All Inclusive
Fishing is Fun
This was my 2nd time fishing in Loreto and the first time booking with Rubio Sportfishing. It is a well run family business. They do a great job setting you up for a successful trip. Communication with Alfredo via WhatsApp was good. He even met us at our Airbnb the day before and discussed how our two days of fishing would go. Our boat captain was Carlos and he did a great job getting us to where the fish were. The first day we got one good sized yellow. The 2nd day we went trolling for dorado. We had one hook up but lost the fish. We got several other small species and had a fun time being out on the water.

7 Hour Trip – All Inclusive
Captain Tacho is the man!
This was our first charter here in Loreto. Our captain picked us up in the bay by our resort and we were off. They supplied everything needed for the day. Drinks, food, live bait, liscense for all. After about 55 minute ride we fished for about 20 minutes and our captain Tacho said we were moving. While going to a second spot he was chatting on the radio and now we were moving in another direction. As we pulled about about 45 minutes later we noticed two mother boats. So we started to slow troll. Fish On! A beautiful 22 lb yellow fin! New bait 15 minutes later Fish On! This time 27 lb yellow fin, New bait 20 min and Fish On! We had each caught between 20 and 30 lb yellow fin tunas. What a great day. Our captain worked very hard to out on fish. They were cleaned and bagged ! Highly recommend this charter.

7 Hour Trip – Regular
Amazing 4 days of fishing and whale watching!
This is my second year with Rubio Sport-fishing and it never disappoints. First day caught 5 Yellowtail, 12 black sea bass and saw the sea lion colony and multiple pods of dolphins. 2nd day wife and I went whale watching with Rubio and saw over 15 whales. Mostly humpbacks but on the way in for the day Rubio found a Blue Whale! Third day was back to fishing which was great again. The highlight was the 4th and last day when my wife joined me fishing. My wife and I went 4 doubles on yellowtails in an hour and a half! Amazing! Ended the day with 9 yellow tail by 11am and went to see the sea lion colony again! All equipment was in great condition and boat was comfortable! I will only book with Rubio Sport Fishing during my time in Loreto!

caught 3 dorado, 2 bonita, and 2 snapper deep. Dorado action was fast and exciting. Capt noticed i wasnt feeling good, got into a low blood sugar situation from the heat i couldn't kick, and took me to a beach to float around a bit. Absolutely would recommend and book again.

Hardest Working Captain
It was a slow day fishing, but based on what was heard over the radio, we were fortunate to boat two dorado. Captain Alfredo searched everywhere for fish - Dazante to 65 miles of Carmen. Alternating between trolling with lures and live bait, he gave us the best chance to hook up on a very slow day. I've fished with him before and will continue to fish with him in the future.
