Bent Rods Charter Company is located in Hartwell and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters. USCG-licensed Captain Brandon Davis and his team of guides have over 30 years of experience on the water. This is a great experience for family and friends to enjoy the outdoors on one of the most beautiful lakes in the south. Hartwell is a tremendous Striper and Hybrid fishery.
Capt. Brandon will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 5 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Hybrid Striped Bass and Bass, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, and trolling.
Bent Rods Chater Company fishes out of a 28’ Clearwater boat powered by twin Suzuki engines. The boat is equipped with the latest sonars, a trolling motor, and a radar to keep you comfortable and safe on your adventure. The boat can safely take up to 6 anglers.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

Captain Adam
Me, my son, son-in-law and two grandsons went out with Captain Adam. I told him our main mission was to make sure my 9 year old grandsons caught fish. Not only did he deliver but he was great with the boys, very patient and attentive. All of us had a great day. Great Captain, boat and gear.

Fishing on Lake Hartwell with Captain Brandon Davis
Best fishing trip ever. We booked a 1/2 day trip with Captain Davis. We were concerned that only evening appointments were available, but it was great. He knew where the fish were from his morning trip. Our group was my son, son-in-law, and grandson (8). We are not very experienced. In fact, these were the largest fish we ever caught. The captain was great with us. I think no matter if you are new, or experienced there is something you can learn from him. He will answer as many questions as you have. Or he will just let you fish. He knows Lake Hartwell very well. He has all the equipment you need. Just bring yourself and have a fun time. We kept the fish and they tasted great! We are already talking about having him guide us on Lake Lanier. Great trip!

Amazing, Memorable Family Fishing Trip!
We come to Lake Hartwell every summer and this is the first time we chartered a boat… and now Captain Brandon will be a staple in our summer vacations moving forward! My 10-year old twins said “it was the best part of the trip” and my husband, dad, and I have to agree! We had a lot of laughs, caught some great fish, and just had a blast being on the beautiful lake together. If you have kids… I would highly recommend Brandon! If you don’t have kids… I still would highly recommend Brandon! He’s the best!
