Performance Fishing Charters is located in Hilton Head Island and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.
Capt. John will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 3 to 10-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Black Drum, and Jack Crevalle, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, sight fishing, live bait fishing, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 27' Latitude Tournament Boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. This boat was built in 2024 and is built to fish everyday of the year.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day.

Great time
2 adults, 2 teenagers with fishing experience. I told captain John that I’d like something to take home to eat, but really just wanted to get lines in and catch fish. He got us started going after king mackerel and we ended up getting a Spanish mackerel. After that, we moved spots and ended up getting 5 bonnet heads and 2 black tip sharks, one was over 5 foot. What I liked most about the trip was how he helped the two boys understand how to use the drag and keep tension on the line, especially with the Spanish mackerel. Will book again if I’m in Hilton Head.

6 Hour Trip
Awesome trip!
We had a great trip with captain John. Beautiful boat with plenty of room for our group of 4. Weather conditions early were less than ideal, but captain still gave it a go for kings. When it got too rough, he switched gears and still put us on fish. We got several sharks, a stingray and some good size bull reds. He put in extra effort and stayed out longer to put us on schools of surface feeding reds which is apparently rare and it was cool seeing his excitement. Very knowledgeable captain. We had a great time! Thanks again.

Awesome Trip!
My son asked to fish for Tarpon and Jack Crevalle while on Hilton Head. We caught both. Captain John was great, worked hard to get us on fish and cheered us on to bring them in. Very friendly and flexible to keep us fishing.

Fantastic Charter!
Captain John was fun, personable, and knowledgeable - my son and husband and brother had an excellent day out on the water. They caught 6 fish and learned a lot about fishing in this area. They caught bonnethead shark and red fish Dolphins were everywhere so that was an extra bonus. Would definitely recommend Captain John!

Sheepshead Trip
Best Captin Ever!
John was not only kind but also gave our group an unforgettable experience. Before setting sail, we told him that we wanted to focus on catching sheepshead and redfish, and he took us exactly to the spots where these fish were abundant.
