Team Vinson Charters offers full-service inshore and nearshore fishing charters and sunset cruises on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, including Mobile, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, Dauphin Island, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Daphne, Perdido Key, Dog River, Bon Secour, and Fish River.
Using light and heavy tackle, you’ll be bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and popping. You can expect to target Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Pompano, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, Cobia, Flounder, and many more. Captain Donnie Vinson has decades-long experience in fishing a wide variety of waters in the Mobile Bay area. Join him on a true fishing adventure out of Gulf Shores and have an unforgettable time on the water!
The boat you’ll be using is a 25’ Skeeter bay boat that can accommodate up to 6 guests. It runs on a 300 HP Yamaha engine and uses all the modern Garmin navigation electronics in order to get you on the fish quickly and safely. The boat also has a Minn Kota wireless trolling motor, a livewell, and an ice box.
Kids of 5 years and older are welcome to join your trip. The fish you catch is yours to keep, but you’re free to release it as well. Smoking isn’t allowed during the trip.
Captain Donnie provides all the fishing tackle, live bait, and lures and also covers you for fishing licenses and catch cleaning and filleting. Just bring some snacks and drinks, and you’ll be ready for the fun.

Capt. Donnie and Team Vinson WONDERFUL
I booked a trip for my Daddy’s 60th birthday with his son in laws and grandson on our family vacay! Capt. Donnie and his team were fabulous! Communication was perfect and flawless and my husband was so impressed with Captain Donnie taking time to teach our 10 year old son how to do all the fishing stuff and his patience was much appreciated! The men all came back raving about how much fun they had catching fish and learning about the island from Capt. Donnie! We are making it an annual trip with Capt. Donnie and Team Vinson!

Great Time
Came out for my kids birthday. After a 30min ride to the spot we were on the fish as soon as we stopped. The current was rough but the boat was solid. I say that because we had to move a few times as we got pushed out of position but the Capt got us right back in the fight. We were only 2 shy of our limit which was great considering it was choppy. Not that we didn't catch plenty more, just had to toss them back. All in all, everyone enjoyed and crew was nice. Excellent radio system which is a plus!

Fantastic day fishing.
Captain Donnie provided a first rate day on the water. All the equipment including the boat was in great condition and spotless. Captain Donnie and his crew did everything in their power to get us on fish. The crew was prompt and professional and made us feel comfortable while fishing. We caught multiple species of fish. We caught Trout, Flounder and Sheepshead . We have used other charters and without naming names they do not compare to Team Vinson Charters. My son and I will definitely contact Team Vinson Charters for all our future fishing trips in the Dauphin Island/ Mobile area.

Captain Donnie was absolutely amazing. Brought my family of four and he did not disappoint, got us on fish immediately, very patient with the kids, and very easy to talk to. His deck hand now has a fan for life as my 10 year old daughter can’t stop talking about her. Caught plenty of keeper fish. Thank you Captain Donnie and deck hand Candice, you guys are 100% doing it right!
