Start your freshwater fishing adventure with Reel Naturalz Charters & Guide service. Your host and guide is Captain Jason, who’s been fishing the waters of NY since he was a kid. Besides catching fish, he loves sharing his knowledge with other people, so starting a fishing charter was a perfect choice for him. Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join on these trips. Even if you’re not passionate about fishing, you’ll enjoy being in nature and learning something new.
The trips take place on a 21’Lund Fisherman that accommodates up to 4 guests. Built in 2023, this aluminum boat is powered by 200 HP Mercury engine, that help to quickly reach high speeds. Besides navigational electronics, this vessel is rigged with the latest in Garmin technology including livescope, safety gear, and a live bait tank.
There are different fishing locations you can visit, all depending on the fish you want to catch and the season. Visit Oneida Lake for Walleye and Yellow Perch, Cayuga Lake for Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Rainbow Trout, or Lake Ontario tributaries for Chinook and Coho Salmon, or Brown Trout, and Steelhead. Please make sure to check the availability dates with Captain Jason first.
All fishing equipment is included in the price. After the trip, you get to keep the catch, and Capt. Jason will clean and fillet it free of charge on Oneida lake charters. Make sure to purchase your fishing licenses and pack some food and drinks for the day.

Productive, enjoyable morning
At the captain Jason’s recommendation, we departed about 1/2 hour early, as the bite had been better in the early hours. That paid off, with several nice pike coming early. Ended up with 10 fish between the two of us, and really enjoyed the banter with Jason. Definitely recommend!
