Join Flat Top Charters for an amazing trip in the inshore waters and flats of Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island Sound. As a lifelong resident of S.W. Florida, Captain Mark has been fishing the waters of Lee County, including Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, Caloosahatchee River, Estero Bay, Sanibel Island, and Captiva Island for over 50 years, of which 20 years as a charter guide! It’s his passion to be able to use his knowledge and experience of fishing the local waters, both inshore and nearshore, to others and provide an enjoyable experience to all.
You’ll be fishing on a 22’ American Marine Sports that accommodates up to 3 guests. This bay boat is powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine and reaches the speed of 35 knots. The boat is equipped with Simrad navigational electronics and modern safety gear. You’ll also find MinnKota wireless engine, 3 live bait tanks, and a cooler.
There’s a variety of species you can go after, with some of them being Jack Crevalle, Snook, Tarpon, Trout, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, and Tripletail. If you head out to slightly deeper spots, you’ll be able to go after Goliath Grouper and Barracuda.
All fishing equipment and licenses are included in the price, as well as water with ice. Feel free to bring other beverages and food, and don’t forget your sun protection.

Best captain! Great time!
My friend and I had a great half day trip with captain Mark. He was the best captain I have booked on fishing booker. Friendly and helpful - but never condescending. 😊. A pleasure to be around and to fish with. Put us on a lot of snook and some sea trout and other species thrown in. Mark knows his waters and how to find the fish. Thanks for a great day. 🎣 🐠 🐟

Half day trips with Captain Mark Westra
From the time we get picked up at the dock until we get dropped off he is 100% professional, safe, and fun to be with. We have fished with Cape Mark 5 times now and every time we put a lot of fish in the boat. These include Snook, Snapper, Sheepshead, Jacks and Red Fish. We usually have three or four people fishing and everybody catches fish. If we were fishing a slow spot, he moves to another spot that is more productive. Cap'n Mark knows the area better than most and he will not waste your time. We always have plenty of live bait for catching as well as chumming to stir up the fish. I have been fishing Pine Island Sound, Captiva Island and Sanibel Island for 30 years and have used a lot of guides, and I can say without hesitation that Captain Mark Westra is the absolute BEST!.
