Charter Fishing Galveston runs angling trips out of Galveston and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about. With 4 boats to choose from.
Booking an offshore charter will take you to fishing grounds further from the dock to open waters. In open water fishing, you might hook Bull Redfish, sharks, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and if you are lucky, the illusive Cobia. Fishing for Snapper, Grouper, or other bottom fish will need a bit more travel time but it is well worth it when hooking the big one. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so. When everyone is limited out, you will work on filling the box with other offshore fish at the rigs and around the Gulf.
You’ll be fishing from a 38’ Bertram. It also includes a toilet and ice-box. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated.
All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that’s up to you is to use it as best you can.
The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.
Up for a family trip? This is a children-friendly business, so bring your loved ones to share these memories with. Children under the age of 10 are not permitted on any offshore charter. The bay and jetty charter trips do not permit children under the age of 7. Any charter that includes children, must have adequate adult supervision for safety reasons.

12 Hour 75 miles Bluewater on May 31, 2023
Took three graduating teenage boys for a blue water fishing experience. Captain Jim Berg delivered. The boys all got to catch fish and even a shark. The two first mates were awesome. They kept bait on the hooks and the hooks in the water. Also, gave good advice to the boys on how to land their fish. It's a lot different than lake fishing. The four adults really enjoyed the boat ride. Was our first time out in the blue water. Wonderful trip for all. Would definitely love to come back. Thanks again to Captin Jim Berg and crew.

8 Hour Trip – Offshore on August 9, 2022
This trip was awesome. Captain Jim took us to 2 different spots and it was non stop action. My 2 sons ( 8 and 13 ) had the time of their lives. Most of the time our baits never reached the bottom before a keeper red snapper would grab hold and give you a good fight. Seriously, the only time we got a break from catching fish was when we were traveling. Normally on vacation my sons and I fish everyday, but not this year. After our trip with Captain Jim the boys and I are taking a day off from fishing to let our arms recover from all the big red snapper we caught. If you want to catch fish then book with this charter.

5 Hour Big Boat Jetty morning on August 1, 2022
We had a great day out on the water with Jim and his grandson the deckhand. He found the fish and we were able to land some good size redfish in a short amount of time. The kids had a blast and learned some new skills. I could not have picked a better charter. Thanks Capt. Jim

Captain Jim was great and took us on our first off shore fishing trip. We had a great time and caught fish even in challenging sea & weather conditions. Can't wait to go again with him.
