This charter is family-owned and operated by Captain Daniel and his wife. They are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and welcome anglers of all skill levels on their trips.
You will be picked up on the Tamarindo beach in front of the restaurant El Chiringuito. The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 27’ Liston boat that accommodates up to 4 guests. This offshore boat is powered by a 90 HP Yamaha engine and reaches the speed of 15 knots. She’s powered with navigational electronics, a cooler, and snorkeling equipment.
Head out to deep seawater and do both trolling and deep-sea fishing depending on the weather conditions and where the bait is. Target Barracuda, Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Amberjack, and many other offshore predators. If you prefer to stay closer to the shore, you can go after Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Mackerel, and more. You will be back around 11 am hopefully with freshly caught lunch!
Everything you need for a great day of fishing is included such as complete fishing equipment, cold drinks (beer, soft drinks, water), and snacks.

Captain Daniel Gets it Done
3/4 Day Trip on June 26, 2025
We did a 3/4 day trip with Daniel and first mate Johnny. Lots of morning action, we caught about 15-20 Bonita and Skipjack that were safely released. We were able to catch 3 nice yellowfin to bring home. Then we bottom fished for snapper, catching about another 15 fish of a few species. We brought home 4 really nice red snapper. We trolled ballyhoo for the last two hours and didn’t have any luck there, we had to move off our spot with a storm rolling in. I brought my 10-year-old nephew and the trip was perfect for him- the fish were big enough to be fun for the adults to fight, but enough smaller fish that he didn’t get bored. Overall an awesome trip, they worked hard to put us on the fish. Recommend no more than 3-4 anglers on the boat, it was perfect for 3. It would be somewhat doable with 4 but very crowded with 5+.

Fantastic Day Fishing in Tamarindo
Combo Trip - Fishing and Snorkling on June 12, 2025
What an amazing day fishing with Captain Daniel with Maryola Tours in Tamarindo. He got my boys (7&8) on Yellowfin Tuna within 15 minutes and was beyond patient with them. When our oldest asked to try for Grouper & Red Snapper Captain Dan was on it. Then we spent the rest of the day trying for Marlin & Sailfish while the kids took a siesta on the boat. We got a nice one hooked and it put up a heck of a fight. Thank you Captain Daniel & Johnny for an amazing day. The fish you cleaned for us made for an amazing dinner on the beach. Pura Vida!

4 Hour Trip (AM) on June 29, 2025
We had a great half day experience. The captain called me the day before and told me the fish were biting a little earlier in the morning. We met him an hour earlier. We caught so many fish in the first couple of hours, it was truly amazing. We lost count after around 25. We caught Bonita, Mackkeral, and yellow fin I highly recommend this tour company. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

Captain Daniel and first mate were wonderful! Caught three tunas in the first 8 minutes. My husband got sea sick and since it was a private tour the captain was very understanding and brought us back. However, not without our fish. Daniel recommended a restaurant on the beach that cooked it for us. It was delicious.

3/4 Day Trip on June 11, 2025
Booked a 3/4 day with Daniel. Exceeded expectations. Started the morning catching yellowfin tuna and skipjack. Switched over to jiggin and caught over 10+ grouper and multiple other species. Ended the day with a giant sailfish. From start to finish Daniel and his first mate were super friendly and made the whole trip one to remember!
