Running angling trips out of Key Largo, Mahi Mania Fishing Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Mark and his First Mate will do their best to make sure you have a fun day of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Sailfish, Wahoo, and King Mackerel, depending on the season and conditions of the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, and spinning.
All rods, reels, and tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.
Your adventure begins on board a 29’ Albemarle boat that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair.
You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip.
Capt. Mark runs trips together with his first mate, who’s there to help you with whatever you may need. Tips are always appreciated for a job well done.
Children are welcome aboard so you’re good to get the young ones started early.

Saved my day
My day started with thunderstorms and my initial booking canceled. I contacted captain Miller an he patiently waited until 3pm for the weather to improve. We spent 4 hours of fun fishing. Mate Chris gave us good info of fishing in the area, what to expect, even his opinion of how fish think when they see a lure. My son got entertained by those stories waiting for a fish to bite, which it didn’t take long. When all was done we went back to the hotel and thunderstorms started again. Very happy that captains in this area know about the weather almost as much as they know about fishing.

The Reel Deal!
Our son recently started fishing in the neighborhood with his friends and we decided to end the summer with a real deep-sea trip. Captain Mark and his first mate Chris were amazing. Super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They have a very well outfitted boat and quickly got us out to some great spots where our son reeled in some barracuda. Then we went further out, and he got some mahi and amazingly he got a wahoo. Upon return, Captain Mark cleaned the catch, bagged it up, and sent us home for a serious feast. These guys are first class, and we are so happy we went with them and we will certainly be back again.

Great experience
Captain Mark was the best. We had a great day on the water! We learned a ton about fishing, local wildlife and the Keys. We caught almost 3 Mahi plus a Bonita on the way back as a last ditch OT effort by Captain Mark after seeing some diving birds. He also did a great job cleaning and bagging our catch. We took his recommendation to go to The Fish House for dinner where they cooked our own catch for us. I got the Hemingway style and our Mahi was the best fish I ever ate and we even got a free slice of key lime pie from the recommendation. I would surely suggest this after a long day on the water. I would book again without hesitation.

Great Fishing Experience
Had a fantastic trip with Capt. mark and first mate Chris over Spring Break. We started the day trolling over a shoal where the bites were fast and furious. We didn't necessarily land them all in the boat but the excitement never stopped. When that slowed down, we moved over a wreck where the yellow tail were biting. Would definitely recommend to anyone with kids, especially young anglers who ask a million questions. Capt. Mark and First Mate Chris were knowledgeable, patient, and gracious. Would absolutely fish with Mahi Mania again!

We made some good memories
Captain, crew and boat did a great job. It was sunny but due to some recent weather the waves were choppy. I knew water conditions would not be ideal but the captain was willing to salvage our vacation by taking us out anyway. They worked hard to put us on some fish on our 4hr trip and we made some good memories. We trolled some shoals and caught a 20” gag grouper and 36” barracuda. Later we wreck fished near reef and caught almost 10 yellowtail, a small but beautiful strawberry grouper and an unusually large file fish. Given the conditions I consider the trip a success and would recommend. Thank you!
