Praise only for the “Michael D” and our three captains: Gary, Bruce and Paul. They generously attended to a member of our party with special needs, borrowing a special chair from a neighboring boat, and hyping his efforts and successful catches. They gave clear, useful instruction, explained technology on the boat, and shared interesting stories about underwater wrecks. We caught plenty of Spanish mackerel, bonito and bluefish on our four-hour trip in early June. The boat and its bathroom are clean and comfortable, the captains kind and knowledgeable. Don’t hesitate to book your trip with the Michael D.

A pleasurable experience all around. My son, his friend and I all had a blast catching sea bass and blues. Captains Gary and Paul were both cool, laid back, very experienced and consummate professionals, offering great guidance for us Infrequent fishermen without ever being overbearing. These are two guys that clearly work very well together. The boat was clean, large and comfortable but set up to do some serious business for much bigger trips for much bigger fish as well. I will definitely book the Michael D and crew next time in the area.

The trip was awesome. Not only was the crew super friendly they also know what they are doing. They taught some first timers what to do fast and efficiently, and where fast to assist with hooking bait and hooking fish so everyone was able to have a great experience. They knew some awesome spots as well. We must have hooked at least 80 between 5 people plus fish in four hours, 31 of which were legal size that we got to take home with us. Highly recommended and our first choice for a charter going forward.

2024 Fishing Success
4 Hour Trip – Inshore (PM) on July 9, 2024
We have used Michael D Charters for the past two years and have always had a positive experience. Capt Gary and the Crew once again went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for the grandsons. Weather was great and minimal wave action made fishing for us all great. Thanks to Capt Gary’s experience we found those sweet spots and had enough keepers for dinner tonight. A class operation with a well kept boat and gear. Will be back again next year.

8 Hour Trip – Nearshore (20 miles) on July 19, 2024
I have to start by saying thanks to the three Captain Crew, they kept in good contact with us about the weather and gave us honest catch expectations. Our 8 man group many of which had never ocean fished, we're impressed by their expertise, honesty and their continued effort to put us on the fish. We will most definitely go out with these guys again soon!
