Madeira Sea Fishing welcomes you for a fun and enjoyable fishing adventure in Portugal. Starting out of Funchal, Madeira, Skipper Nuno Gouveia can take you both inshore and offshore, to reefs and wrecks, and help you have a lovely day on the water.
Captain Nuno offers 4- to 8-hour trips mainly fishing for Tuna, Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Swordfish, Wahoo, and Amberjack, depending on the day and conditions. The techniques you can use include light and heavy tackle, bottom fishing, big game fishing, trolling, jigging, spinning, as well as popping.
The boat you’ll fish from is a restored 31’ Henriques flybridge that can safely take up to 8 anglers. It’s wheelchair-accessible and comes with a toilet, air-conditioning, a fighting chair, livewell, an ice-box, and other amenities.
Kids are welcome to join your trip. You can keep the fish you catch and take it home if you want to. The skipper will take care of all the fishing gear, catch cleaning, licenses, as well as snacks and drinks, so you can enjoy your trip to the fullest.

4 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing
A perfect family fishing trip
I wanted to find a professional but fun company to take my family fishing with. Since our youngest on the trip was 8 years old and the grandfather closing in on 80, it was important that very different needs would be cared for. We couldn't have asked for more! We had excellent communication already pre-trip and I had chosen that we focus on bottom fishing. Everyone from grandmother to the kids caught some fish from well picked locations, and we also had a beautiful morning out at sea enjoying some snacks and refreshments. For a second even I lost myself in reverie (during a busy family holiday!), standing there with my fishing rod and a small beer in hand. What a beautiful memory! Other pluses to mention great explanations of local fish and fishing methods, and interesting tidbits about life on the island. A truly unforgettable day for the whole group!

4 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing
Jigging Trip
We booked a 4 hour trip and were very excited to have all 6 of our family on the water. When we got to the meeting location in the morning, we were informed that our captain was not going to be making it. We went back to our apartment and Robert called us to let us know that he would take us out alone. After a rocky start he made sure that we had a great time on the water! We caught lots of small snapper, bream and grouper.
