Capt. Troy will make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 6-hour trips mainly fishing for Rockfish/Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Perch, Catfish, and Crab, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as live-lining, light tackle, bottom fishing, and trolling.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 42’ O’Neill Jones boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with a dinette on deck, a bathroom/ toilet, and a cooler.
All rods, reels, and tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat is supplied with water for your pleasure. Be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions.
Please remember it is customary to tip the mate 20%.

Incredible Fishing Charter Experience

We had an absolutely amazing time on Mallard Fishing Charter with Captain Troy! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The Captain was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and excited for the day ahead. He provided all the gear we needed and gave great tips to help us reel in some impressive catches. The boat was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, and we were taken to some fantastic fishing spots. We caught more fish than expected, including a few big ones that made the trip unforgettable! What really stood out was the Captain Troy’s passion for what he does. He was just as excited as we were every time someone got a bite, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. If you're looking for a fun, professional, and successful day out on the water, I highly recommend Mallard charter. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Great trip with a great captain

Captain Troy was very knowledgable and professional. We tried for rockfish at the bay bridge and Sandy Point lighthouse but not much was biting. We went around Love Point and he got us on some catfish. We caught 38 cats in a matter of 2 hours. They were hitting the bait before it could drop to the bottom. The boat was very clean and comfortable and we all had a great time. Captain Troy filleted all the fish for us and bagged it. Great trip and I highly recommend booking with him. His wife Leigh helped me set the trip up and she was very communicative throughout the whole process.

Captain Ruth knew exactly where to go catch fish. Once there we caught 3 in 5 minutes and another 10 in the next hour. We had our fill and it was getting hot so we decided to go troll for something else and to cool off. The captain was tentative and engaged in good conversation. Also high marks for his cool boat; easy to get out of the sun and a full head. It was a nice experience, will charter there again.

Took husband for a Father’s Day fishing trip and the captain and mate (son) were wonderful. They’re very knowledgeable about where fish bites. Boat was clean and very roomy. Plenty of seating and was gracious to offer drinks even though we had some. The mate was very friendly to my son and he engaged with him during the trip. It’s a great boat for families and guys that wanna hang out for the day. We arrived at a fishing hotspot and there were TONS of other charter boats. We didn’t think we would be able to catch anything since we got there at 8am. Captain Troy did give us options and asked us where we would like to fish which obviously my husband wanted rockfish. The trip up north took about 2 hours but it was definitely worth it! Other boats around us arrived much earlier and thinking it’ll be a competition. We ended up catching rockfish while others were mildly struggling. We came back with a good catch! This charter is the one to be on with the experience that captain Troy has. I highly recommend Mallard Charters and will definitely be looking forward to future trips. You won’t be disappointed!
