Chase fish, have fun, and make lifelong memories together with Salty Skiff Adventures. Captain Joel Wiessner grew up on the Nature Coast fishing and filming. He fishes inshore on the days he’s not booked offshore or filming! Join him in Crystal River – Scallop trips, river cruises, and lots of fishing await you!

The boat you’ll be using is a 19’ Carolina Skiff boat that can safely accommodate up to 4 anglers. It runs on a 90 HP Mercury engine and uses GPS and a fishfinder to quickly and efficiently reach the fishing grounds. You can use a multimedia system, wireless trolling motor, and ice-box. For an even better experience, the boat is equipped with snorkeling gear and a livewell.

The captain can take you to the areas near coastal grounds, reefs, wrecks, flats, and backcountry waters. The vast choice of species you can chase includes Flounder, Redfish, Cobia, Hogfish, Tarpon, Gag Grouper, Blacktip Shark, and more. Using light and heavy tackle, you can bottom fish, troll, jig, spin, pop, and drift fish.

You can keep all the legal fish you reel in and you’re welcome to bring children aboard.

All the fishing rods, reels, and tackle are provided for you. Captain Joel also takes care of fishing licenses, so you should only bring your snacks and drinks. Also, bait isn’t included in the trip, so check with the captain about your options.
