Werner Ocean Adventures
Captain Ryan here, thanks for checking out my page. I have been taking groups on fishing adventures right here in Little River Inlet since 2006. Please take time to scroll through my photos. I add photos often because I am usually catching.
On this vessel, you will be licensed to fish in both South Carolina and North Carolina. Crab trapping, shrimp trawling, and sightseeing are also options along with fishing. Catching live bait with the cast net is a must-see in itself.
If the weather is in our favor we can take the 25' Carolina Skiff up to 8 miles out for Mackerel, Barracuda, Shark, and a variety of other fish species. If the weather is not favorable or if you just prefer the calmest of water then we can fish the backwater creeks and inlet for Flounder, Reds, Trout, and a variety of other fish.
The maximum number of passengers for the trip is 6 and you should bring your snacks, drinks, sunblock, cameras, and other personal items. Everything else you need for a good time on the water is provided. I hope to take you and your family or friends on an ocean adventure soon.

Took my 4 boys out for a morning trip and had a great time with Captain Ryan. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we got some cool catches. He knew the area well, we moved from spot to spot and caught a variety of fish. My boys also aporeciated he caught his own bait for us to use on the way out and the drive back through the marsh area was very memorable. we would recommend this to any family looking to have a good time with a knowledgeable Captain.

thanks for the good review.. yeah those shovelhead sharks are some good fun. glad they got that bull redfish they were looking for
Captain Ryan was absolutely wonderful. He is the definition of a true fisherman! Communication was great from booking til day of the trip. He made sure to ask what we wanted to catch before the trip and was well prepared. It was a super cool experience to catch all our bait fresh before actually fishing. He is so knowledgeable of the area and where to catch what fish. He provided so much education and was super patient with our family! He made sure everyone caught something before the day was gone. We had the perfect day and can’t wait to go again!

thanks for the great review. it's nice to have a group like you all on a day when the fish are not biting all that good. if all those flounder we caught were keeper size we would have been sitting pretty
Captain Ryan was very communicative with our trip about all the details and tips that we needed before our trip. When we arrived Captain Ryan met us and helped us get setup on the boat. He was great with the kids and working with them on catching fish and pointing things out to them. We were able to go to a few different spots and caught a few different types of fish which the kids loved on their first charter fishing trip. We would love to go with Captain Ryan again and highly recommend him to others!
We brought our 3 boys (15/13/10) and they had a blast! we caught red drum, sharks, toad fish, croakers, sting rays, and a variety of crabs. We also saw dolphins! The little channels were cool and calm. The actual ocean is where they caught majority, water was a little rough but that was expected. We would love to come back in the summer as he said the water warms up and fishing is even better. Ryan cleaned our fish and recommended the Crab Catcher restaurant because they cook what you catch. Also very good!

awesome. thanks for the review. definitely come back when it's warmer and we'll get some bigger sharks and maybe some flounder also.
Captain Ryan was very accommodating to our wishes for what kind of fishing we wanted to do and very patient with the 2 young boys we brought in oir group of 5. they probably cought a dozen fish each. would recommend this Captain and charter to any family.

thanks for the good review thanks for coming out. tough windy conditions today but nice red fish and trout and other small fish

I come from a commercial fishing family and I started commercial fishing at the age of 10. By high school my brother and I were fishing 600 lobster traps out of South Portland, Maine. I graduated from university in 1996 with a BS in Physical Education then sold the lobster business to pursue teaching. After two long years in the teaching profession I moved to Horry County to pursue South Atlantic salt life. I obtained my USCG captains license in 2000 and started offering fishing trips in 2001 from Murrells Inlet, SC. In 2006 I moved the business to Little River Inlet and have been enjoying it ever since. I am also a retired career firefighter / EMT from the city of Myrtle Beach. It is my hope to share my life of experience on the Atlantic Ocean with you.
