This river has held a special place in my heart for many years. I remember my first trip to Gold Beach like it was yesterday, now almost 30 years ago.

Our day will start at the dock as we go through our safety briefing and get you up to speed on our Stryker rods and Okuma line counter reels. Once you are onboard and comfortable, we will cast off and get right to fishing! This is a very unique place, as we don't spend much time without a line in the water. Our day will be spent in the lower river fishing for fresh fall Chinook, enticing a bite with perfectly spinning bait.

This is a great opportunity for all ages and skill levels. Our new boat has nice tall sides for safety and comfort, as you reel in the big one! There also is some opportunity for bottom fishing if the ocean allows and your interested, but our focus will be on Chinook Salmon in the bay.

There are several choices for accommodation in the area. With RV parks, hotel and vacation rentals. If you choose a place to stay with a dock, we are more then happy to meet you there for pick-up and drop-off.

We look forward to the opportunity to meet new clients and catch some amazing fish!

Very easy going fellow that seems like he truly enjoys making your vacation trip excellent. Joe fishes several different Oregon fisheries and is very knowledgeable about what he’s doing.

All day salmon trip
Rogue Bay Trip – Chinook Trolling on August 29, 20222 adults

We had a great time! Even though the weather was crappy we still managed to catch two fish. Joe is personable, knowledgeable and was fun to fish with. We would enjoy another trip.

From a young age, Captain Joe has had a passion for fishing and the outdoors. Born and raised in Oregon, he had many opportunities to explore this beautiful state. But, he found water and fished every chance he got. As the captain got older, his desire to be on the water grew stronger. As with many anglers, his fishing really started with Trout. Getting his first boat was a game changer for the captain, this expanded his horizons and he got to all those holes never accessible by shore. Years passed and the boats got bigger along with the fish. Guiding has been Captain Joe's long-time passion. For him, getting to share a day with wonderful guests and helping them get to feel that tug is what makes all the effort worth it!
