Based out of Los Cristianos, Yate Sofia Big Game Fishing is your ticket to a memorable time on the sea.
Capt. Juan Dámaso is here to get you on the fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, and drift fishing, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 3 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Amberjack, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, and Barracuda, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
You’ll be fishing from a 44’ Striker boat with enough room for up to 8 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet and a fighting chair. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water.
As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain so you don’t have to worry about it. The catch you keep will be shared with the crew following the trip. Please get in touch with the captain if you have any questions.
Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you’re free to make it a family adventure. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated.
The boat will be supplied with drinks, and lunch for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Fantastic day out
Had an absolutely fantastic day out on the water with my 13-year-old son. The three crew members were outstanding: expert and deep knowledge of the sea and fishing, and great story tellers too. They handled everything from setting up lines to managing the catch with real skill and professionalism. We also met a great bunch of fellow fishermen onboard, which added to the relaxed and friendly vibe. It was the perfect mix of adventure and chill. On top of the catch, we also sighted whales, dolphins, turtles and lots of flying fish.

we catch some puffer fish and on a trip back, we hooked huge Wahoo. That was a great fight but the fish bended the hook under the boat and escape. We need to do it again 😄

Nice trip, resultive fishing. We got 15 kilo Wahoo, 3 pcs of Tunas 2-4 kilo each catched on trolling and 2 pcs of Trigger fish catched while bottom fishing. Team was friendly and helpful,. Drinks and sandwiches were served on board. Don't forget to take some cash for tips to a team in case you are lucky with fishing.

Nothing big biting but plenty of bottom fish
We used this in 2017 and again this week. The staff are fun and easy to get along with although English is limited but it wasn't an issue, we all had fun and caught plenty bottom fishing. The boat is in great condition, roomy with great facilities. We would use them again

Great relaxed trip
The crew were great, super patient and knowledgeable We hadn't fished big fish before and my teenage girls were planning on sunbathing and not much else. They both loved it both were fishing, one caught a Tuna! We also saw turtles which was a bonus.
