We recently had the pleasure of spending three hours on a fishing charter with Captain Matt, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped on board, Captain Matt made us feel right at home. He was incredibly personable and had a natural way with the kids, keeping them engaged and excited throughout the entire trip. Captain Matt's knowledge of the area and fishing spots was impressive, and he made sure everyone had a chance to reel in a catch. He was patient, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable for our whole family. If you're looking for a fun and family-friendly fishing charter, I highly recommend Captain Matt. Family Fun with Captain Matt
Half Day Trip (Mid - Morning) on August 10, 2024
We went out the day after a tropical depression had come through and caused flooding. Even though this affected the type of fish we got, we still had so much fun. Caught four sharks and an absolutely massive sting ray. We also got to see a sea turtle which was really cool. All four generations of the family had a great time with Matt and his first mate. Air conditioning helped with the August heat- not sure we would ever do a summer NC fishing trip without it. Our 8 year old son had so much fun and is already asking to go back.

Matt and his deck hand, also Matt, were awesome and very patient with our two younger boys, 9 & 5! The boys were so excited they got to actually use the fishing poles and catch their own fish, as well as see two sharks we caught on the larger poles! Would definitely book with Matt again.

Captain Matt was fantastic, can’t recommend him enough. I took my kids and niece on this trip. He was super patient with them even later in the day when they were running out of steam on the trip. Due to some weather that was coming he reached out to me and made sure we still got out on the water. Caught lots of black tips, croaker, spit, and even a pinfish. I’ll definitely be booking again with Captain Matt!

This was my kids 1st trip out on a boat. Captain Matt and 1st Mate Matt were excellent. They had the knowledge and even though the bite was not great he said he could guarantee us some sharks and he delivered. The kids love realing them in. We will be booking again on our next beach trip.
