Running angling trips out of Southport Oak Island And Holden Beach and Bald Head Gameface Fishing Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Matthew aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like trolling, drift fishing, and spinning. You’re looking at 4-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Flounder, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and Sheepshead, depending on the weather and time of year.
You’ll be fishing from a 20’ Cape Craft boat with enough room for up to 3 anglers at any single time. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

GameFace Charters and Capt Matt were fantastic. Communication was immediate after booking confirmation and Capt Matt provided plenty of information leading up to our trip. Our meeting location was simple to find and Capt Matt was waiting for us once we arrived. Once we set off, he had us on fish almost immediately. Captain Matt is very knowledgeable and constantly working on game plans throughout the day. Tough conditions today and he put us on fish and was able to coach up some old “bass fisherman”. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Captain Matt was outstanding and was so patient with my 13 son and 14 year old daughter. We had so much fun and caught so many different fish and the experience will be remembered for a long time. Thanks Captain Matt!!!!!

Great captain and a great time
We booked a 4 hour trip with captain Matt. We ended up wanting more time out on the water, but Matt had another trip booked after ours. But Matt was able to get us back out on the water after that group was done. We caught a lot of fish and had a great time. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and great company! We will definitely be back to book with captain Matt next time we come down!
