Running angling trips out of Penn Valley, J & A Guide Service invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Joshua will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in trolling, fly fishing, jigging, and spinning, all to get you on that bite. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Bass, Brown Trout, Sturgeon, and Lake Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day.
You’ll be fishing from a 20’ Jetcraft boat with enough room for up to 3 anglers at any single time. It also includes a wireless trolling motor. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water.
Fishing licenses aren’t included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so. Up for a family trip? This is a children-friendly business, so bring your loved ones to share these memories with.

Full Day Kokanee Trip
Great Kokanee Fishing day with Captain Josh
We had an extremely good Kokanee fishing trip, the captain is very knowledgeable of the fishery and the reservoir, knows his target species, we bagged out our limit relatively early while other boats seem to be having to work hard for their catch, afterwards had the opportunity to appreciate local wildlife and boat around and see the reservoir, overall an excellent choice to go fishing Kokanee salmon!!!

Fishing trip with J and A Guide Service, Josh Fontaine was our fishing guide.
Josh was an awesome fishing guide, he was extremely knowledgeable about the area and lake we fished in. I can’t believe how many fish we caught! Both my sons are ending their Naval service and this fishing trip was their first family vacation in 10 years! Great time with a great guide. I highly recommend Josh Fontaine!
