Upstate Guide Service (UGS) is a licensed, insured and professional full-time guide servie providing safe, enjoyable and successful angling trips on the lakes of Upstate New York since 2003.
With over twenty years experience guiding we provide professional trips and seek to exceed the expectations of our guests on every trip!
Anglers of all skill levels are welcome to join UGS for fly fishing and light tackle spin fishing. UGS guides will teach you techniques to make you a better angler!
Fishing is aboard a 2021 18’ Lund Impact. The Greyghost 3 is a modern fishing machine that is stealth, effective, and safe!
Trips are for up to 3 anglers. All fishing equipment and experienced licensed guide is provided.
Children are welcome.

Fabulous day on Otisco
Capt Mike is a tremendous guide with vast knowledge of the NY/VT waters. I'd say the conditions were challenging the day we went out but Mike found us great fish. There's no doubt we'll be contacting Mike again for future trips. I'm telling you, Mike's your guide!

Captain Mike was amazing!!!!
Had a great day fishing!!! We caught about 60 fish of all different species. I’m definitely going to book with Captain Mike again!!!

Caught a MONSTER Tiger
Mike was amazing, I cannot recommend him enough. He worked hard for us and we had action all day. He also was a a nice guy and we enjoyed chatting with him throughout the day. I’m not used to freshwater fishing and he taught me a lot! We will absolutely be back.
