Thomas’ Guide Services
Thomas’ Guide Service is a fly and spin fishing guide service covering Pennsylvania and northeast Ohio, based out of Springfield, PA. Captain Thomas Lawrence offers walk and wade trips on various Lake Erie tributaries that everyone can enjoy regardless of their age or skill level. Pick a day that suits you and spend a memorable day fishing the region’s rich rivers.
The captain starts running trips in mid- to late October, depending on the weather and other conditions, and will continue fishing into the spring. The run starts in early October and will move out to the lake in the later spring. It is one of the more beautiful experiences that you can have on a fishing trip.
Your group of up to 4 anglers and the captain will be chasing Steelhead using light tackle fly fishing. You can keep all your catch if you want to and take it home.
Captain Thomas provides all the high-end equipment for you. All you will need is clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and chest waders. Also, you can bring any food or drinks you like. Kids are more than welcome on all the captain’s trips, so don’t hesitate to bring them along and have a beautiful family day on the water.

I had a really good day with Thomas’ guide service! He has brand new, top notch fly fishing gear, and his tackle is meticulously organized. I am new to fly fishing. Thomas showed me the basics with a cool calm demeanor. Thomas put me on a good size steelhead! I’mdefinitely going to book another trip with him next time I’m in town

Made a first-timer a lifetime steelheader!
Thomas is a new guide, but not new to fishing. He has great instincts regarding which bait to use when, how to fish various conditions, and when to change locations. We didn’t net a lot of fish, but the experience was great. We learned a lot and would not have had that success without an experienced guide. Thank you Thomas for helping my son get his first (second, third, and fourth :-)) steelhead.
