Deep South Fishing Charters is a first class inshore fishing charter. The company uses top of the line tackle as well as providing the most technical poling skiff available on the market: The Hells Bay Boatworks’ 2017 Professional. Weighing only 620 lb, the boat can float in just three inches of water, making it the perfect vessel for the local flats and backwaters. With both a push poll and access to a trolling motor if needed, the boat is versatile and can be used for all sorts of fishing, traveling out to up to 20-30 ft water depth when targeting Tarpon, but staying in shallower areas for Redfish, Bonefish, Snook and more. With a live well on board, the boat is well equipped for a day on the water.
Deep South Charters specializes in light tackle fishing in areas such as Everglades National Park and the Florida Keys. A trip with them could range from poling the skinny water flats sight fishing and fly fishing for Reds and Snook to chasing the “Mighty Silver King” (Tarpon). They also run the maze of creeks and mangrove islands deep in the Everglades National Park, where you can not only catch some first class fish but also experience the rich and diverse nature the Everglades have to offer. If you’re interested in learning the ropes of fly fishing, Capt. Ryan is more than happy to help and tell you all about his well-practiced techniques - however, he also specializes in spinning tackle and conventional light tackle.
Both the avid angler and the novice fisherman eager to learn more about inshore fishing are welcome on board. The company is family friendly. All tackle, ice, water, fishing license, and safety equipment are provided: all you need to bring is drinks, lunch, and sunscreen!
This is a full service charter dedicated to ensuring the best day on the water with drag screaming action! Depending on where you are staying they can arrange pickup from your hotel or nearest marina: please inquire for detail

Full Day Trip - Inshore on October 14, 2019
Had a great day with Ryan. Flats boat is top notch. Ryan is an entertaining individual who we enjoyed visiting with during the day. He communicates about what is going on, what we needed to be doing, etc. He had options for more difficult and technical sight fishing on the flats, as well as fishing with popping corks and catching fish on every cast. We also had 4 shots at tarpon but we lost them to the mangroves. I look forward to coming back and fishing with Ryan again next spring!

Great day out on the water. First cast and it was fish on. Then after a few pointers Ryan got me on my first salt water fish on the fly rod. Also on top water with a popper fly. The wind started picking he decided to pickup and move to another spot. Put us on some bigger snook. Ryan is a great captain did a solo trip But I felt like I was fishing with my boys back at home.

You know it was a great trip when you start off by losing the car keys and still end up having a great time. The Captain's knowledge of area allowed us to go to multiple spots as the tide changed. As a result we had a full day of catching a variety of species. We plan on going back and doing again, minus loosing the keys.

Had a great time with Cpt Ryan. Appreciated his knowledge of the area...birds, fish and overall water ecosystem. He is as enthusiatic about you catching the big one.. and has the patience for the novice fisher person. The boat ride back to the dock was absolutely beautiful.

Half Day Trip - Inshore on December 30, 2016
The 1/2 Day trip turned into a 3/4 day trip because captain Ryan was determined to catch fish on a less than perfect fishing day. A northern front blew the water out of the lower Glades and the rough chop from the wind clouded the water to a clay color. Ryan was determined to catch some Redfish and snook regardless of the conditions and put many miles on the skiff through some rough chop or through the longer rivers to avoid the chop. Eventually his efforts paid off and we were awarded with a few good hook ups of snook even though we missed several of them. Rarely have I seen a captain so determined to put us on fish... his boat was brand new and in perfect condition as well as his electronics. His navigation abilities of the tangled rivers and chanels of the Glades were of a person who has spent many years honing his craft. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful adventure with Ryan and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to catch whatever is biting in the lower Glades/ upper Keys area.
