Russell Peterson has been running boat charters out of Chatham, Massachusetts since 1988 and he's eager to make your trip an enjoyable and rewarding experience while on the Cape. With almost 40 years of fishing under his belt and USCG certification, you’ll have a safe and productive trip full of fun. The captain will use his vast knowledge of the area to make your trip a huge success!
Captain Russ's boat is docked at Stage Harbor in Chatham, providing quick access to both Cape Cod's inshore and offshore waters. This modern and well-equipped 28' Grady White offshore sport fishing boat offers a fast, comfortable, and reliable ride for every trip. Powered by twin 150 HP Honda engines and equipped with advanced navigation technology, it's ready for everything from fishing charters to scenic cruises and island excursions. The boat features a portable toilet, bed, ice box, refrigerator, and a variety of fishing gear. Up to six guests may come aboard.
You and the captain will target Striped Bass, Tuna, Bluefish, Shark, Fluke, Black Seabass, Atlantic Mackerel, Skate, Bonito, and more. You can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, pop, drift fish, and even bow fish – all on heavy tackle.
The fishing tackle, live bait, lures, and catch cleaning are all included in the trip price. Just bring some snacks and drinks before you come aboard.

Loved our AM Striper trip with Capn Russ this morning, hooked up a slot fish early then things got quiet, he moved us all along the rips of Monomoy and finally got into them again and we got our limit, wonderful day, knowledgible local captain with a good boat for up to 4 fisherman, thanks for working hard to find our fish, will be back!
Despite rocky seas, Captain Russell put us on the fish and was expert in navigating our way! Can’t say enough about our afternoon adventure and the professionalism of Captain Russell! we will be back!
We caught a bunch of striped bass (7 or 8) and kept the maximum per person allowed. It was more than enough to feed our 10 person wedding the next day! Capt Russ was great. Knew all the right spots. Used all the right bait. Was prompt, friendly, and a cool dude. If I come back to chatham or this part of the cape, I wouldn’t go out with anyone but Capt Russ
Captain Russell took out the family and we all couldn’t ask for more. Caught some stripers off of Monomoy. Hook up with the Liveliner, the next time you want big fish off of Chatham.
Great time with Capt. Russell. Family’s first time was a great success. Caught some bluefish and took home some fillets to top it off! Will be back for more
