Are you looking for action with a team of professionals? Capt. Jon aims to bring the excitement and put you on that trophy fish you want! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning. You’re looking at 3 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Tarpon, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Wahoo, Snapper, and Grouper, depending on the weather and time of year.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 40’ Custom boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat features a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain, so you don’t have to worry about it.
You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip. Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the journey. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated. The boat will be supplied with bottled water for your pleasure, and you’re welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks if you want. This is a children-friendly charter.

3/4 Day Trip – Offshore (AM) on February 12, 2025
My son and I booked a last minute trip with the Drop Back. Captain Jon was great to work with! Super knowledgeable, really friendly, and makes you feel at home the second you step aboard. His mate, Craig, was outstanding! He worked nonstop to keep lines baited and in the water and a lot of fun to fish with! I can’t say enough nice things about these two guys - I highly recommend!

Our family had so much fun fishing tor shark and tarpon, what a cool experience! Capt John and his first mate were so knowledgeable and made sure our boys had a fun filled experience. Bad weather but great catch!
Full Day Trip – Offshore on June 11, 2024
Our Charter fell when a tropical wave was impacting the Keys. Capt Jon found a window in the weather where we could safely go out. We caught a bunch of yellowtail snapper, a bunch of bonitos, and an Amberjack. Capt Jon is extremely knowledgeable and does a great job teaching his clients what is needed to catch the target species. He and first mate, Craig, were extremely patient and excellent with our kids! We’ll fish with them anytime we are planning a trip to the Keys!

Best charter we have ever taken. Caught 7 sharks on a 3 hour trip and my kids will talk about this trip forever. Captain was very personable and was a joy to talk to. First mate was a blast as well.

Was one of the best charters I have done. It was a pleasure being able to fish with one of the most professional, knowledgeable and friendliest captains. He put us on the fish and boy did we catch some really nice fish. His first mate was on his game, professional, helpful, kind. Would definitely book again.
