Fairhope is a special place to go fishing, located just 20 or so miles from the Gulf and offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy a productive day on the water. Step aboard a refit 2006 31' Jupiter, a comfortable boat that can accommodate up to 6 guests and is well suited for the ride to and from the fishing grounds.
Depending on the conditions and season, you may have the chance to target Tripletail, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and Spanish Mackerel. Whether you are an experienced angler or simply looking to enjoy a fun day on the water with family and friends, there is plenty to look forward to.
All fishing tackle and licenses are included, so you can focus on enjoying the experience. Clients can also keep their catch. Just bring a good attitude and get ready for a day of fishing, fresh air, and plenty of time on the water!

6 Hour Trip on July 12, 2024 • 2 adultsFirst off he was more than accommodating. The fish early morning were not cooperating so we went into deeper water. We were on fish then and they didn’t stop. We caught mangrove snappers, a shark and a few other species. We decided to go back to look for slot reds. On our way back to Magnolia river, he spotted a triple tail under a crab trap bouy. We hooked up and that was my first triple tail. It was a great trip

Hung two and played them for several minutes unfortunately we didn’t get to see what the monsters were! Great trip for my 86th birthday. Hope we can do it again gin cooler weather!

6 Hour Trip on March 10, 2023I’m not big on reviews but, Bennett has it figured out. He was professional, welcoming and punctual during my trip. Spending time on the boat was a blast and it’s clear that the Captain is well versed on the local water. We were put in a great position to catch some nice reds and sheepshead. Half Day Morning on April 23, 2023Had a great time with Captain Bennett. Everything was smooth from booking the trip to fishing in Mobile Bay. Captain Bennett knew exactly where to take us to have the best fishing experience. I caught my first monster black drum. I will definitely be joining him again on another trip!

While it was a poor day for fishing by Bennett’s standards, Bennett took us around to his best spots doing everything he could to help us catch from fish. We ended up catching a few including Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and surprisingly a bass! In the downtime between bites he shared his knowledge on the fishing rods and reels he uses and recommends for those switching over to do more saltwater fishing. I plan to take his advice and order a few before my next trip down. I definitely plan to book with Canton Bay Charters the next time I am in the area.
