Running angling trips out of Dexter, Shelldivers Guide Service invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Come on aboard with Capt. Scott, whose main priority is to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like bottom fishing, fly fishing, bow fishing, and spinning, based on the species you’re targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll be fishing for the likes of Rainbow Trout, Catfish, Crappie, and Bass, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.
You’ll be fishing from a 20’ Phoenix boat with enough room for up to 3 anglers at any single time. It also includes an ice box.
All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that’s up to you is to use it as best you can. Don’t forget to buy a fishing license before the trip!
Bait isn’t included in the trip price, so make sure to check with the captain what your options are before the trip.
You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.

Sweet Surprise
The day started out hot. Hotter than normal. Surface temps were in the high 80’s but the game plan was to fish top water for a good part of the morning. Surprisingly it worked very well. We boated over 6 fish. Not all keepers but a good mix of smallmouth and largemouth bass. Then we fished some deep water ledges and bites another 6 or more. Most in the 4 plus range.
