Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like fly fishing and spinning. You're looking at 4 to 8-hour trips, where you'll usually go after Steelhead, Brown Trout, or Salmon, depending on the weather and time of year.
You'll be fishing from an 18' Stealth Craft boat with enough room for up to 2 anglers at any time. During cold days, there will be a heater onboard to keep you warm. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what matters, fishing. Fishing licenses aren't included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip. Trips are strictly catch and release!
When it comes to Steelhead, Manistee River Lodge offers only catch and release trips, so the fish you catch will be returned to the water. Please let the captain know if you have any questions or special requests. The price of your trip also includes complimentary snacks and drinks, and full-day trips include lunch.
