Reef Runner Charters Key West is a locally owned and operated business offering fun, professional fishing trips out of Historic Charter Boat Row. With over 10 years of experience, our crew knows how to put you on fish and ensure a great time—whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned angler.
You’ll fish aboard a 34’ Crusader that fits up to 6 guests comfortably. The boat features a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair, making it ideal for both quick reef trips and full-day offshore adventures. All rods, reels, tackle, and licenses are included, and you can keep any legal catch.
Trips range from 4 to 12 hours and target seasonal species like Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Wahoo, Sailfish, Grouper, and more. Every trip is customized to the conditions and your goals.
Owner-operator Edward may be your captain or mate, but he’s always hands-on and focused on making your day productive and enjoyable. If a mate is aboard, they’ll assist with baiting, gaffing, and cleaning your catch. Gratuities are greatly appreciated.
Cold drinks are provided, and you’re welcome to bring snacks or extra beverages. We’re a family-friendly charter—kids are more than welcome!

Half Day Trip (4 hours) (AM)
A fun filled day on the water!
fun-filled day on the water! We had an amazing time on our fishing charter. My son had an unforgettable, two-hour battle with a massive fish that, in the end, managed to get away. It was a thrilling fight he won't soon forget! My youngest son also had a blast, successfully reeling in a barracuda. Captains Edward and Evan are true experts who put us right on the fish. We finished the day with an impressive haul of 30 snappers, a yellow jack, and a mackerel. I can't recommend them enough for your next trip—it was, without a doubt, the best charter experience I've ever had. AI responses may include mistakes.

Amazing Day on the Reef Runner…From Catching to Cooking!
We had such a great time on the Reef Runner! Our family of four (with two teens 15 and 12 on their very first deep sea fishing trip) spent six hours out on the water and caught 15 mahi mahi, making us the top catching boat of the day!! The kids were thrilled and it was a real highlight watching them reel in their fish. To make it even more special we wrapped up the adventure at the Conch Republic Seafood Company where we enjoyed our own catch prepared for dinner. The whole experience from catching to eating made it a day we’ll never forget!

Full Day Trip (8 Hours) (AM)
Mangrove Snappers, a Shark, and Some Trolling
We had a great 8 hour trip. Captain Edward suggested we get an early start and it was an amazing suggestion. We were able to hit a wreck and catch a few before the sun came up and the 'cudas and sharks started eating our catches. Then we were able to move to a different spot (first ones there) to try for Mangrove Snappers. It was great fishing but eventually we were surrounded by other boats and the fishing slowed down substantially. Since we were there early, we were able to take advantage of that and limit out on Snapper, catch some Bar Jacks, a couple of small grouper, and even a large nurse shark. Once we limited out on Snapper we did some trolling and caught two Mahi Mahi, a Tuna, and a Barracuda. We even made a run at a Marlin that the Capt spotted. Captain Edward and his mate, Evan were awesome!!! Great fishing and great conversation! Both were extremely knowledgeable, active, and helpful. They not only helped us with the fishing but also educated us on a ton of other stuff including techniques, strategies, local restaurants, fish transportation and storage, and more. Highly recommend!

Half Day Trip (4 hours) (AM)
Captain took care of us despite the mechanical issues
The boat had mechanical issues half way out to spot. We ended up getting a history lesson on our slow speed return. Learned about the Navy base and water structures from the first mate. He used the time well even though we weren't fishing. Captain had us hooked up with a different boat upon our return to the dock. He spent a bit of time locating an available captain during a very busy week. These guys are top notch and cared about us. We weren't just a fare or a booking. We ended up on another boat with the same first mate and probably had the same experience or better. Kudos to you guys for making this trip memorable!! You went out of the way for us. Thank you!!

Shark Action All Day, My Boys Had the Time of Their Lives!
This was hands down one of the best fishing trips we’ve ever taken. We caught 5 sharks and my four boys had an absolute blast from start to finish. The crew was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience exciting and safe for everyone. The boat was clean, the setup was professional, and the action never stopped. Memories were made that we’ll never forget. Highly recommend this charter to any family looking for an epic day on the water!
